Bova Doubles With Aces

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante
Bronson Bova
Bronson Bova

All of the chips got into the middle preflop between the under-the-gun Bronson Bova and the player on his direct left.

Bronson Bova: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Early Position: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

Both players made sets by the river of a runout {k-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}, causing a small reaction from the table about the result despite the sequence only giving Bova a sweat to a backdoor gutshot draw to Broadway along the way. His stack was totaled to be 22,900 and the double was shipped his way.

Goble Scores a Knockout

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante
Alex Goble
Alex Goble

More than 7,000 was in the middle with five-way action on a board of {6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and Alex Goble bet 4,200 in the small blind. The big blind called and then a player in early position shoved for 10,600. The hijack and cutoff folded, and then both Goble and the big blind called the shove before checking through the river {j-Hearts} to take the hand to showdown.

All-In Player: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Big Blind: {q-Clubs}{5-Spades}
Alex Goble: {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

Goble's king kicker bested the big blind's, both of which topped the all-in player's two tens to eliminate him and earn Goble the pot and the knockout.

Hassab Wins a Coin Flilp

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Mike Hassab
Mike Hassab

Mike Hassab opened to 2,600 under the gun and Erik Macias called in middle position. Terry Harper re-jammed on the button and Mike Hassab called all in for less, totaling 19,900. Macias then folded {6-Spades}{6-Hearts} face-up, letting the two have at it.

Mike Hassab: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Terry Harper: {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}

Hassab flopped a set on {8-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{5-Hearts} but Harper picked up eight outs on the turn {9-Clubs}. However, none came as the river {4-Spades} completed the runout and Hassab collected the dub.
