Day 1d Started
The sky is the limit for Day 1d of the Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) Black Hawk $360 Regional ($150K GTD) and a packed house is expected all afternoon inside Bally's Black Hawk for the final starting flight of the weekend-long event.
Saturday's flight begins at noon local time and presents the last opportunity to play for Sunday's Day 2, where 93 players have already advanced from the first three flight's 651 total entries, and Day 1a chip leader James Rodriguez (675,000) still leads the rest of the field by a hefty amount, being the only player so far to have bagged half a million.
Like the first three days, starting stacks are 25,000 with blinds lasting 30 minutes and beginning at 100/100/100. Breaks will take place after every two hours of play, lasting 10 minutes apiece after Levels 4 and 8 with a 40-minute dinner break at the completion of Level 12. Late registration with unlimited re-entries will remain open through the dinner break, closing at the beginning of Level 13 at approximately 7 p.m. local time.
Registration is already open and players have been advised to arrive early in order to avoid alternate lines that will likely be unavoidable due to the event's sheer demand. With that demand, action will likely be fast and furious all day long, and PokerNews will be keeping you in the loop every step of the way.

Six players committed 300 apiece preflop before the dealer brought on board. Action checked to Caleb Meyer in middle position and he bet 1,500, receiving just one call from the small blind when it got back to him.
Both players checked the turn and the river came . The small blind checked again and Meyer postured for about 10 seconds before tossing out 2,000 onto the felt. His opponent thought for about the same amount of time and then dropped a chip forward to signify he had called.
Meyer tabled : "Is that a six?" asked his opponent from across the room. The dealer nodded affirmatively and the player sent his cards to the muck.

Rob Hemschik limped under the gun and saw another player limp behind in middle position before Salim Wahdan opened to 800 in the hijack. Both limpers called.
The flop came and action checked to Wahdan, who continuation-bet 1,600. Hemschik called and the playear in middle position folded.
Action was then heads up to the turn , where Hemschik checked again. Wahdan fired a second barrel of 2,100 and Hemschik announced a check-raise to 4,500. Wahdan immediately three-bet jammed and Hemschik called all in for 11,400.

Salim Wahdan:
"Nice hand," said Wahdan, seeing the cooler he had just been dealt. The case four did not come on the river and Hemschik scored the double as a result.
