Campbell Forces Fold from Aoki

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

After a four-bet and a call preflop, there was 45,000 in the middle on a flop of {10-Clubs}{j-Spades}{9-Clubs} when both Michael Campbell in the small blind and Nobuhiro Aoki in middle position checked to see the turn {9-Hearts}.

Campbell then decided to bet 20,000 and was quickly called by Aoki.

The river was the {5-Hearts} and Campbell then put out a healthy bet of 35,000, which sent Aoki into the tank. After a good minute or two mulling it over, he finally folded his cards face-up to show {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}. Campbell slid his cards into the muck and was pushed the substantial pot.

Raap Gets There from Behind; Brenden Gets it Back

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante
Aaron Raap
Aaron Raap

Aaron Raap and Harry Brenden got all the chips in the middle preflop, with Raap at risk.

Aaron Raap: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}
Harold Brenden: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

Although Brenden was still ahead on the flop of {10-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}, the turn {q-Clubs} left him dead to king to chop and the river {10-Spades} awarded the pot to Raap for a double up.

Brenden was unfazed, however, as on the very next hand he won a pot over 150k when he turned a full house and his big river raise was called.

Reid Doubles with Deuces

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Terence Reid moved all in for around 30,000 and Gerald Cunniff made the call, putting Reid at risk.

Terence Reid: {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}
Gerald Cunniff: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

Technically ahead going in, the flop of {10-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} kept Reid in the lead although it gave Cunniff additional straight outs. Fortunately for Reid, the turn and river {5-Spades}{8-Hearts} were complete bricks and he succeeded in securing a double-up.

Word Doubles As Sickel Exits

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Kevin Sickel moved all in for 58,000 in early position and Dave word in middle position made the call, barely covering.

Kevin Sickel: jsjd]
Dave Word: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

The flop was not good for Sickel, as it came {2-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}, and the runout of {9-Spades}{4-Spades} did not help him either as he was eliminated as Word essentially doubled up.
