The 12th season of the Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) continues today with the $1,100 buy-in, $200,000 GTD Main Event at Grand Falls Casino, just outside Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
There will be two starting flights beginning with Day 1A at 3 p.m. today. Day 1B will take place at the same time on Saturday, January 23.
Both days will play through 15 levels unless 12 percent of the field is reached in which play will stop and players will bag and tag for the night.
Players will start with 25,000 in chips and levels will be 40 minutes in length with 10-minute breaks coming after every three levels. All players are allowed a max of 1 re-entry per starting flight and registration will remain open until the end of Level 12.
All the surviving players from both flights will then return at 11 a.m. on Sunday, January 24 to play down to a winner.
The last time the MSPT visited Grand Falls Casino it was a record-breaking Main Event back in August when Mark Collins topped a 518-entry field to win the tournament for $107,706.
