Le Gets Paid

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

A player under the gun bet 12,500 into about 18,000 on a board of {7-Spades}{q-Hearts}{a-Spades}{k-Hearts} and Trung Le called in the cutoff. On the {j-Spades} river, the under-the-gun player checked and Le splashed in 23,000. His opponent tanked over a minute, holding the calling chips before silently dropping them into the pot.

Le tabled {k-Spades}{q-Spades} for the flush and his opponent pounded the table in frustration and mucked.

Foutty Clocks, Gets a Dub

Level 13 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

With {6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{7-Spades} on board, Stephen Foutty was all in for 45,500 out of the big blind. That was a fair bit more than the pot size, and his opponent on the button tanked several minutes. Finally, Foutty asked for a clock.

"He called the clock?!" the player on the button exclaimed. "He called it?"

He slammed in calling chips quickly but couldn't beat {7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}.

Wilkie on the Hunt For Another

Level 13 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

Steve Wilkie was on the button and bet 5,500 on a {10-Clubs}{5-Spades}{8-Clubs} flop. The small blind called and the big blind folded. On the {j-Spades} turn, Wilkie's second barrel of 15,000 was also called. The {7-Spades} river prompted his opponent to shove into him for about 35,000, and Wilkie quickly called.

The small blind showed {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts} but Wilkie had that beat with {10-Spades}{9-Hearts}.

Wilkie has been a veritable MSPT star for the past couple of years, winning MSPT Denver Poker Open for $85K in late 2019, coming fourth in MSPT Canterbury for $51,944 right after that, then getting second at MSPT South Dakota last August for another $66K.

Couple of Flips

Level 13 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

Rania Nasreddine had {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} in front of her but was beaten by a player with {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}. It wasn't clear when the money went in, but the ace-king had flopped a flush on a low flop with all spades and then paired up on the river, costing Nasreddine 27,000.

At a neighboring table, Pat Lyons shoved all in preflop for 24,000 after saying he'd lost most of his stack with jacks against queens. Action folded to the big blind, who called with {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}. Lyons patted the table and showed {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}. The flip went his way as it ran {k-Spades}{j-Hearts}{4-Spades}{5-Spades}{j-Clubs}.

Three Huge Stacks in a Row

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

A player under the gun opened for 5,000, Christopher Ocksrider made it about 15,000 in the next seat, and the opener jammed for about 52,000. Ocksrider quickly called with {k-Spades}{k-Clubs} and was dominating {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}.

The board ran clean for Ocksrider and he surpassed 200,000. Good thing for him he did, as he needs some ammo against the players on his left, each of whom still has him covered.

Players are now on break for 15 minutes.
