Toomas to the Moon, Pace Back From the Dead

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Elvis Toomas
Elvis Toomas

Elvis Toomas is now sitting on piles.

The board had been washed by the dealer, but the table recounted that Toomas held a full house against his opponent's nut flush.

That's the biggest pot of the night so far as he pushes past 300,000.

A few tables over, Gianluca Pace thought he had been eliminated. He started leaving the poker room until a tourney director informed him he still had 400 chips left.

He has since run that back past a starting stack in a chip and a chair scenario.

Khouri Dodges All the Draws to Double

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

There was about 15,000 in on the {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{q-Hearts} turn when Shadi Khouri shoved for around 20,000.

His opponent went into the tank for a minute before calling and Khouri was at risk.

Shadi Khouri: {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Opponent: {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

Khouri had turned the king-high straight, but he would have to dodge flush, straight, and full house outs.

The river {2-Clubs} was a total blank and Khouri took the pot.

Molner Hooks in Pace for the Knockout

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Sandor Molner
Sandor Molner

There was already a sizeable pot brewing of about 30,000 on the {a-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{j-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} turn when former MSPT champion Gianluca Pace shoved his remaining stack forward.

Sander Molner almost beat him into the pot and Pace was at risk.

Gianluca Pace: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Sander Molner: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

Pace had shoved right into the set of jacks for Molner and the {9-Spades} river changed nothing as Molner appears to be the chip leader in the room about halfway through the night.

Lanes Dodges the Draw to Double

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

It was 2,000 each preflop three-ways to a {4-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{k-Spades} flop and Richard Lanes bet 5,000. He found one caller and they saw the {7-Hearts} turn.

Lanes shoved the last of his stack and was called to be put at risk.

Richard Lanes: {k-Diamonds}{q-}
Bigger Stack: {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}

Lanes had to dodge both a flush and gutshot draw straight, and he did just that as the {8-Spades} peeled off on the river.

"I'm used to running bad," said Lanes. "It feels weird."
