Massey Applies Pressure

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

With a bit over 100,000 in the middle already and on a board of {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{k-Spades}{4-Hearts}{5-Spades}, Aaron Massey slid a stack of lavender chips into the middle, amounting to an even 100,000 bet. His opponent tanked for a while and let his hand go.

Massey is off to a good start and is up to about 330,000 in chips.

Lee Pushes Karambinis Off Tens

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Stanley Lee opened to 18,000 from the lojack and was called by a player in the cutoff and Chris Karambinis in the small blind.

The flop came {4-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and Karambinis led out for 23,000. Only Lee called.

Karambinis slowed down and checked on the {6-Clubs} turn, prompting a 67,000 bet from Lee. Karambinis tanked for a while and eventually folded pocket tens face up.

Pupillo is Our Bubble Boy

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Nick Pupillo
Nick Pupillo

Two players were eliminated on the last hand of level 17.

According to tournament staff, Nick Pupillo was knocked out in 298th place per chip count, which makes him the official bubble boy.

The remaining field is guaranteed a cash of at least $2,423.

Pupillo's Stack Takes a Hit

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Nick Pupillo had {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts} in front of him against a lone opponent who was all in for about 80,000 with {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}.

The board read {2-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and Pupillo presumably lost a race all-in preflop.

Pupillo is down to his last 140,000.

Song Sends One Home

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Stephen Song
Stephen Song

Action folded over to the player in the small blind, who shoved for their last 55,000. Stephen Song called from the big blind to put him at risk.

Song: {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}
Small blind: {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

It was a race, but the {8-Hearts}{9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{7-Spades}{9-Diamonds} runout kept Song out in front and he sent his opponent to the rail.

Song, who won a WSOP bracelet in 2019, is over 400k in chips.
