Karp Hits Miracle River to Triple Up

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Steve Karp moved all in from the button for 293,000. After getting a count, Aristoteles Neto tossed some chips into the middle.

"Is that a call," asked Ryan Franklin. Neto nodded yes and a few seconds later Franklin announced that he was all in.

"Oh, what the f***," said Neto, standing. "I should have done that first."

"I hope you win this bro," Neto said to Franklin as he tossed his cards to the dealer. "Here we go," said Karp.

Franklin turned over {A-Clubs}{K-Spades} and Karp {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}.

"Elway, Elway, Elway," said Karp as the dealer put out {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{5-Diamonds}. Neto reached into the muck and flipped over one of his cards... the fourth ace.

The turn was the {4-Clubs} and it was looking as if Karp was going to be out the door in third place. Karp would fall to the floor in disbelief though when the dealer put out the {7-Diamonds} on the river to give him a full house. Picking himself up, Karp shook his head and said "that was pretty f***ing sweet."

Neto, in the meantime, turned over his second card. It was a four meaning the tournament could have been over had he made the call.
