PPC Team Pro Chris Bolek has had quite a run over the last year and a half. It all started with a win in January of 2013 that netted him $96,000. He continued with a sixth place finish in a $1,000 World Series of Poker event which was good for another $58,348. Fast forward to 2014 and Bolek would add another $47,061 to his bankroll after taking down a WSOP Circuit event and then would go on three deep runs at the WSOP including a 50th place finish in the Monster Stack tournament that would see him collect $26,534.

All told, Bolek now has $446,948 in reported lifetime winnings and is proud to represent the PPC as they look to grow their tour. He's here today looking to win his first PPC Main Event title.

Medina Jr. Takes a Hit

Level 4 : 100/200, 0 ante

With 11,000 already in the pot and the board showing {7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}, Sam Medina Jr. was facing an all in bet of approximately 15,000. After tanking for a bit, Medina sighed and tossed out the call.

His opponent tabled {6-Spades}{3-Spades} for a seven high straight. Medina flinged his cards into the middle and then grabbed them to show that he had {A-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for trip fives. Medina was down to slightly less than 10,000 in chips after the hand.

From Bar League to Aruba, The Story of the PPC

What started out as two friends running poker tournaments in bars has blossomed into an up and coming poker tour that only has bigger and brighter days ahead of it.

"My partner Bryan Oulton started running some bar leagues back in 2005 and I joined forces with him and we built the business together over the next five years," PPC co-commissioner Sandy Swartzbaugh said. "We partnered up with a major Florida casino and in 2010 we started working on the Aruba idea and the PPC was formed soon after."

"People like playing our tournaments because of the allure of the lower buy-ins for our Main Events," Swartzbaugh added. "That and the potential to win a trip to Aruba and a pokercation where they get to go to a beautiful tropical island and play poker with the 2012 World Poker Tour Player of the Year, Joe Serock."

"We're only growing. We'll be adding stops all over the country in 2015 and things are only going to get bigger and better for the PPC."
