Lim Busts One

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

David Lim in the big blind called the button shove of a short stack for 17,500 and was ahead in the showdown with {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} versus {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}.

Laoyont Doubles Through Hall

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Adam Kharman raised to 2,700 from under the gun and Patrick Laoyont shoved from the late position for 24,600. Laurence Hall called on the button and Kharman folded after considering his options for a bit.

Patrick Laoyont: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Laurence Hal: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}

The flop came {7-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{5-Hearts} to keep Laoyont ahead.

The turn brought them the {10-Diamonds} to give Hall the eights as outs to eliminate Laoyont but he bricked the river as the {4-Clubs} completed the board to double Laoyont up.

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Guofei Xu
Guofei Xu

Byungyong Kang has been eliminated from table 13 and the new big stack over there is Guofei Xu after he won a big pot off Harry Mardoian. A four-way flop with 3,000 each brought {a-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and the action checked to Mardoian, who bet 6,000. Xu called and Steve Tupua folded, as did the initial raiser.

After the {6-Spades} turn, Mardoian bet 10,000 and Xu min-raised to 20,000. Mardoian check-called a bet of 26,000 on the {a-Spades} river and Xu tabled {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for a full house to drag in the pot.

David Hirst
David Hirst

David Hirst raised to 2,700 and Marcel Tartak called from one seat over. A short stack then jammed for 11,500 and Hirst called, while Tartak folded.

The player at risk tabled {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades} and Hirst was way ahead with the {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}. A gutshot straight draw emerged on the {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop, but the {7-Hearts} turn and {6-Diamonds} river were both blanks.

Zmukic Eliminated by Tran

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

The board read {7-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{a-Hearts} with 43,000 in the middle.

Vesko Zmukic had checked in the middle position and Michael Tran shoved from the button which sent Zmukic into the tank. After tanking for quite a while, Zmukic made the call but mucked when Tran tabled {7-Spades}{7-Hearts} for the flopped set.

Later on, Zmukic revealed to the live reporting team that he held {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and hero-called with top pair as he thought Tran was bluffing.

Hall Doubles Through Tran

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Laurence Hall raised from the middle position and action folded to Michael Tran in the small blind who three-bet to 9,200. Hall decided to respond with a shove which Tran called after taking some time to consider his options.

Laurence Hall: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Michael Tran: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}

The flop came {8-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} for Hall to pick up the flush draw but to keep Tran ahead.

The turn was the {j-Clubs} to give Hall a pair of jacks but it also gave Tran the tens as extra outs for a Broadway to eliminate Hall.

The river completed the board with the {2-Spades} to secure the double-up for Hall as his turned pair of jacks were good.
