Li Doubles Through Wai Yong

Level 5 : 250/500, 50 ante
Bjorn Li
Bjorn Li

Bjorn Li has made the most of his second bullet so far.

Li shoved on the turn of a {4-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{10-Clubs} board putting Wai Yong to the test. The shove was for 36,000 which was over two-thirds of Yong's stack. After a couple moments, Yong tossed in calling chips and saw the bad news.

Li: {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}
Yong: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

Li had flopped a set of sevens and had Yong drawing slim. The {k-Diamonds} secured the double for Li leaving Yong pretty short.

Fast Busts Patgorski; Patgorski Re-Enters

Level 5 : 250/500, 50 ante
Dietrich Fast
Dietrich Fast

A huge pot was piled up and a completed board reading {5-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{8-Hearts} lay in the middle. Dietrich Fast was all-in and action was on his heads-up opponent Gabe Patgorski who had less.

Patgorski would end up making the call for his tournament life and Fast announced "Quads," tabling {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}. Patgorski turned over {8-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} as his cards slid into the muck and he slid out of his seat.

Patgorski headed straight for the registration desk and has since found a new seat with a fresh stack.

Sass Spikes an Ace

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante
Alan Sass
Alan Sass

After Adrain Mateos opened to 800 from middle position, Alan Sass three-bet to 2,700 and called a four-bet jam from the player in the big blind for about 24,000.

Opponent: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Sass: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

A classic race was underway and the dealer fanned out a {3-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{10-Hearts}{a-Clubs} board. Sass channeled his inner Barry Greenstein and spiked an ace on the river to eliminate his opponent and drag in a sizeable pot.
