Within two hands, the stack of Day 1 chip leader Timofey "Trueteller" Kuznetsov has been reduced to zero.

Hand 1

Sergio Aido started the action with a raise and picked up two calls by Kuznetsov in the small blind and Erik Seidel in the big blind. The flop of {A-Clubs}{9-Spades}{7-Clubs} was checked through and Kuznetsov then bet the {3-Hearts} turn for 38,000. Seidel raised to 83,000 and Aido folded, Kuznetsov called.

The {J-Spades} river saw Kuznetsov check, Seidel moved all in for 92,000 and Kuznetsov called within a few seconds. Seidel rolled over {3-Clubs}{3-Spades} for a turned set and that won the hand, as Kuznetsov mucked.

Hand 2

One hand later, Kuznetsov shoved for 101,000 from the button and Rainer Kempe called in the big blind.

Timofey Kuznetsov: {K-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}
Rainer Kempe: {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}

"The king will come," Kuznetsov joked, as suited kings had been good to the Russian on Day 1. One of the victims of Kuznetsov's hot run was Winfred Yu and he was there to sweat the showdown.

The flop fell {Q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades} and nothing changed. On the {A-Hearts} turn, Kuznetsov asked if he was allowed to squeeze the river. The request was denied, and a blank {5-Hearts} river eliminated Kuznetsov in 5th place for HK$ 708,000. Yu walked over to Seidel and Kempe, jokingly thanked them. Kuznetsov didn't mind though, and left with a smile on the face.
