Wu Is Missing

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

The seat that formerly belonged to Benjamin Wu is empty and Dario Sammartino confirmed what had happened. According to Sammartino, the Italian raised from under the gun and four-bet to 15,000 with Wu coming along. Both then headed to a flop of {J-}{8-}{3-} with two clubs and Sammartino continued for 15,000, Wu called.

On the {4-Clubs} turn, a possible flush draw completed and Sammartino checked. Wu moved all in for around 40,000 with pocket nines and Sammartino called with pocket queens. A blank on the river reduced the field to the last 25 and Sammartino moved into second place.

Buddiga Takes from Yong

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

After winning a pot without showdown against Winfred Yu, Wai Kin Yong got involved into another hand right after and found himself in a battle of the blinds with Pratyush Buddiga. On a flop of {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}{5-Spades}, Yong checked and called a bet worth 3,000 by Buddiga before doing so again on the {A-Hearts} turn for 7,000.

Yong also checked the {4-Spades} on the river and eventually called Buddiga's bet of 17,000, then mucked when Buddiga flashed {Q-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} for trips jacks.

Kenney and Sass Eliminated

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Bryn Kenney lost a flip against Dan Cates and he was soon followed to the rail by Alan Sass.

Sass had most of his chips in preflop and then got the rest of it in with {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades} on a flop of {9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}. Mikita Badziakouski had him dominated with {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and both the {7-Spades} turn and {4-Hearts} river failed to improve Sass.

Lim Doubles; Patgorski Busts

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

The wild ride of Gabe Patgorski has come to an end. After grinding his way back to 25 big blinds, Patgorski dropped back into danger zone and shoved for his last 8,000 from under the gun. Pratyush Buddiga moved all in from the button to isolate and both Winfred Yu and Erik Seidel in the blinds folded.

Gabe Patgorski: {J-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Pratyush Buddiga: {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}

The board came {A-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{8-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and Patgorski already tapped the table in defeat by the turn, grabbed his belongings and left the table with a "good luck guys."

Marcus Yi Lim was more fortunate. He four-bet shoved out of the big blind for 28,500 and three-bettor Dario Sammartino called the all in out of the small blind after some consideration.

Marcus Yi Lim: {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}
Dario Sammartino: {A-Clubs}{10-Spades}

After a board of {7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}, Lim held up and doubled.

Aido Wins Flip against Kenney

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Bryn Kenney was the initial raiser from under the gun and the action folded all the way around to Sergio Aido in the small blind. He moved all in for his last 26,800 and Kenney eventually called with {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}. Aido had a flip for his tournament life with {10-Hearts}{10-Spades} and held up thanks to a board of {J-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}.

Kenney's stack was almost halved while Aido jumped back above the starting stack.

Lim and Torbergsen Below Average

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Both Marius Torbergsen and Marcus Yi Lim were among the early chip leaders, and both also share a recent downfall to drop below the average. While Lim just folded against the shove of Richard Yong, Torbergsen surrendered to the aggression of Mikita Badziakouski.

Badziakouski four-bet to 14,000 from the cutoff and Torbergsen called on the button to see a flop of {10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}. Badziakouski continued for 7,500 and that was enough to take in the pot without showdown.

Yong Thriving

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Gabe Patgorski fell down to as low as 12,000 again before chipping up without showdown. At the same table, Wai Kin Yong was able to build his stack and just took from Winfred Yu.

Yong raised to 1,500 on the button and Yu called in the big blind, then check-raised the {9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop from 2,000 to 5,500. Yong didn't go anywhere and called before Yu checked again the {7-Hearts} on the turn. Yong now made it 8,500 to go and that was good enough to win the pot without showdown.

This leaves Pratyush Buddiga, Yu and Patgorski all with rather short stacks on the same table.

Chen Busts to Kuznetsov

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

David Peters, Alan Sass and Peter Chen all ran out of chips. While the former two immediately re-entered, Chen has not been spotted yet in the tournament area. He got it in with the {K-}{7-} against button raiser Timofey Kuznetsov and the Russian looked him up with {3-Hearts}{3-Spades}.

The board came {A-Spades}{J-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{J-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and the pair held up. "But you told me king-seven was the best hand?" Chen joked, referring to the previous run-good of Kuznetsov. The online wizard appears to be unstoppable at the top of the counts right now and leads with a decent margin over the rest of the field.

Aido Doubles; Chan Busts

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Wai Leong Chan exited the tournament area after running out of chips while Sergio Aido escaped from doing so. In a battle of the blinds, Devan tang pushed from the small blind and Aido called in the big blind with {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}.

Tang only had {A-Hearts}{9-Spades} and the kicker played on a board of {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}.
