Sanders Shoves Into Phua

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Winfred Yu and Adam Sanders have both re-entered and the latter just successfully built his stack in a hand against Paul Phua.

It was Phua that had raised to 2,600 from under the gun and Sanders called on the button. The flop fell {7-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}, and Phua's continuation bet worth 3,000 was called by Sanders.

The same history repeated itself for 8,000 on the {3-Hearts} turn and Phua then checked the {6-Spades} river. Sanders shoved and Phua asked for a count, then reluctantly folded when the all in was deemed to be for 25,800.

Pots for Kuznetsov and Patgorski

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

A raising war broke out between Timofey Kuznetsov on the button and Mustapha Kanit in the big blind. Kuznetsov had already three-bet before Kanit then four-bet to 15,700, Kuznetsov was the sole caller.

On the {J-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop, Kanit bet 9,200 and Kuznetsov called before the Italian then checked and called a bet worth 18,000 by Kuznetsov on the {J-Clubs} turn. The {7-Hearts} river went check, check, and Kanit rolled over pocket tens, which Kuznetsov had beat with {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}.

One table over, Erik Seidel raised to 1,700 and Gabe Patgorski in the small blind and Wai Kin Yong in the big blind called. The flop fell {K-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{7-Spades} and Seidel bet 3,000. Patgorski called and Yong check-raised to 9,000. While Seidel's cards were sent into the muck, Patgorski called. Both the {J-Spades} turn and the {5-Diamonds} river were checked and Patgorski tabled {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} as winning hand.

Kuznetsov Busts Ivey and Cao

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante
Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey

The cards were all tabled and a small crowd had geared at the table to see Timofey Kuznetsov's button shove. Behind him, Phil Ivey in the small blind and Rui Cao, who was last seen with around 30,000, opted to call and create a three-way showdown.

Phil Ivey: {9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}
Rui Cao: {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Timofey Kuznetsov: {K-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

Cao was rooting for an ace, but the flop fell {K-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{4-Spades} to vault Kuznetsov into the lead. On the {10-Clubs} turn, nothing much changed but all three players still had the chance to win the hand. A blank {3-Clubs} river eliminated Ivey and Cao, for Ivey it was the second bullet and he won't have the chance to re-enter anymore.

More for Aldemir; Sammartino Doubles with Ace High

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

Koray Aldemir took some more chips off Yu Liang when the latter check-called two bets worth 4,100 on the {J-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{A-Spades} turn and 9,000 on the {8-Hearts} river. Aldemir rolled over {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a pair of aces on the button and Liang carefully studied the board before mucking his cards.

At the same time on another table, Dario Sammartino got into a big three-bet pot with table neighbor Wei Leong Chan. Sammartino bet the {J-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades}{Q-Spades}{8-Clubs} river for 8,500 and Chan moved forward his big chips and moved all in. Sammartino gave it plenty of thought and eventually called all in with {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for just ace-high.

That was however good enough, as Chan was caught bluffing and briefly flashed his cards before paying off Sammartino's all in for 34,450, almost half of Chan's stack.

Aldemir Takes From Liang

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

Yu Liang limped in, like he had done several times after joining his new table with Daniel Colman, Jack Salter and Koray Aldemir. The latter was in the big blind and check-called a bet worth 600 on the {J-Spades}{10-Spades}{7-Spades} flop before checking again the {A-Hearts} turn. Liang bet 1,200 and Aldemir's check-raise to 3,500 was called.

Both players slowed down on the {K-Spades} river as a fourth spade hit the board. Aldemir rolled over {Q-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for a straight and that was good enough to win the pot, boosting the stack of the German slightly.

Kuznetsov Cracks Aces to Bust Yu

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante
Winfred Yu
Winfred Yu

Winfred Yu raised to 1,600 and Marius Torbergsen in the small blind asked for his stack, to which Yu replied "around 30,000 with the raise." Torbergsen three-bet to 5,200 and Timofey Kuznetsov then asked for the stack of Torbergsen before four-betting to 13,800.

Yu moved all in and Torbergsen folded before Kuznetsov asked for a count. He then called and the cards were tabled.

Winfred Yu: {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}
Timofey Kuznetsov: {K-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

"King seven again? You want to bust me with king seven suited you ... " Yu said and kept smiling.

The flop fell {Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and Kuznetsov picked up a flush draw, which caused some "ohhhs" around the table. A blank {Q-Clubs} turn changed nothing just yet, but the {3-Diamonds} on the river indeed completed the flush to eliminate Yu.

Buddiga Busts Sanders

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante
Adam Sanders
Adam Sanders

In a limped battle of the blinds, there was barely any action between Pratyush Buddiga and Adam Sanders. Both players checked the {Q-Spades}{J-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop and Buddiga then check-raised the {9-Diamonds} turn from 700 to 2,600. Sanders called with around 11,000 behind and the {J-Diamonds} river paired the board and completed a possible flush draw.

Buddiga bet 25,000, more than enough to cover Sanders, and the latter reluctantly called all in. Buddiga turned over pocket nines for a full house and Sanders mucked, mentioned that he had a straight.

Buddiga then lost the next small pot to Erik Seidel in the single big blind and dropped back below starting stack.
