Juanda Value Owns Himself

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Chan Wai Leong opened under the gun with a raise to 18,000 with {K-Clubs}{J-Spades} and John Juanda called on the button with {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}. Ivan Leow was in the big blind with {A-Spades}{3-Hearts} and he called as well.

The flop was {J-Hearts}{10-Spades}{4-Spades} and acton checked to Chan who put out a bet of 36,000. Juanda called while Leow folded.

The turn was the {4-Diamonds} and Chan bet again, making it 65,000. Juanda thought for a while, then called again.

On the {7-Clubs} river, Chan checked. Juanda decided to put out a bet, making it 115,000. Chan thought for a bit before calling and that would earn him the pot with his better kicker.

Patgorski Sent to the Rail by Badziakouski

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Gabe Patgorski
Gabe Patgorski

Mikita Badziakouski opened under the gun with a raise to 17,000 holding {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}. Gabe Patgorski was in the hijack seat and he three-bet to 56,000 with {J-Spades}{9-Clubs}. Action folded back to Badziakouski who just called.

The flop came down {8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades} and Badziakouski opted to lead out, making it 40,000. Patgorski thought for a while then moved all in for 347,000. Badziakouski called after giving it some thought.

Badziakouski had the best made hand with a pair of nines, but Patgorski could hit a ten or jack to take the pot, and even a five to chop. The board completed with the {K-Diamonds} and the {K-Clubs} and that meant that Patgorski would be eliminated while Badziakouski moved over 1,600,000 chips.

Triple for Katz

Level 9 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Cary Katz
Cary Katz

Sam Greenwood opened on the button with a raise to 20,000 and Cary Katz called in the small blind. Jason Koon then made it 100,000 in the big blind and both Greenwood and Katz called.

The flop was {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{4-Spades} and Katz checked to Koon who put out a bet of 76,000. Greenwood called while Katz moved all in for 32,000, less than the bet creating a side pot with heads up action.

Both Koon and Greenwood checked on the {A-Clubs} turn and the {2-Diamonds} river.

Greenwood showed his {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades} but Katz showed his {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} to win the main pot. Koon almost mucked thinking he'd lost it all but Katz warned him and Koon showed his {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} to take down the side pot.

Kenney Levels Himself into a Call

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Bryn Kenney
Bryn Kenney

Mikita Badziakouski check-raised to 45,000 holding {9-Hearts}{4-Hearts} after a bet of 12,000 from Bryn Kenney on a flop of {K-Hearts}{9-Spades}{2-Hearts}. Kenney called holding {A-Spades}{10-Spades}

The turn was the {9-Clubs} and Badziakouski checked. Kenney put out a bet of 20,000. Badziakouski moved all in for 882,000, enough to cover Kenney, and Kenney called off his last 100,000 after using most of his time banks.

The river was the {2-Clubs} but it didn’t matter as Badziakouski already had Kenney drawing dead already on the turn.

Alvarado Doubles Through Chen

Level 9 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

JC Alvarado shoved all in from the cutoff for 99,000 and action folded to James Chen who reshoved with a covering stack in the small blind. Everyone else folded so it was on to showdown.

JC Alvarado: {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}
James Chen: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}

"They keep giving me these," Chen said referring to the cooler situation. "He has both of my suits covered too."

There was no sweat for Alvarado when the board ran out {10-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and that earned him the double back over 200,000 chips.

Katz Doubles through Greenwood

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Cary Katz moved all in under the gun for 66,000. Action folded to the blind where Sam Greenwood called. The big blind folded and it was on to a showdown.

Cary Katz: {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}
Sam Greenwood: {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}

The flop was safe for Katz when it came {Q-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades} but the {10-Spades} on the turn provided Greenwood with a myriad of outs. The river was the {8-Hearts} though and that meant that Katz would double though.

"Too many outs," Katz said collecting the pot to double up.

O'Dwyer Clips Alvarado After Nasty Runout

Level 9 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

JC Alvarado peeled {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} in the cutoff and he made it 14,000 to go. Steve O'Dwyer called from the big blind with {Q-Spades}{2-Spades} and he flopped the nuts on {5-Spades}{A-Spades}{K-Spades} flop. O'Dwyer check-called 13,000 and the {6-Diamonds} turn gave Alvarado a gutshot. He checked back and the {7-Clubs} river put Alvarado in big trouble as he binked a straight.

O'Dwyer blasted 77,000, overbetting the pot and Alvarado was in a tough spot. He burned a timebank and then tossed in calling chips, only to see he ran into a nasty cooler.

From Dust to Piles, Leow Over a Million

Level 9 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Ivan Leow
Ivan Leow

Ivan Leow raised on the button making it 13,000 and action folded to the small blind where Winfred Yu three-bet, making it 36,000. Leow called and it was off to the flop.

The flop came down {J-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and Yu led out with a bet of 55,000. Leow called.

On the {J-Diamonds} turn, Yu slowed down and checked. Leow put out a bet of 100,000 and Yu moved all in with a similar stack to Leow. Leow tanked briefly, but called before his 30 seconds was up.

Ivan Leow: {10-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Winfred Yu: {K-Hearts}{J-Clubs}

Yu turned trips but it was no good as Leow flopped a straight. Yu needed to improve but the river was the {5-Hearts} changing nothing. With that, Leow took down the nearly one million chip pot and moved near the top of the chip counts while Yu was eliminated with a slightly shorter stack.
