Ivan Leow - 2018 Triton Super High Roller Series Jeju HK$500,000 Short Deck Ante-Only Winner
Ivan Leow - 2018 Triton Super High Roller Series Jeju HK$500,000 Short Deck Ante-Only Winner

Ivan Leow just conquered the HK$500,00 Triton Hold'em (Short Deck) Event for HK$8,470,000 and he's not quite done playing poker for the day. He's decided to hop into the six-max event as well and he just took his seat in the field. He'll definitely be a player to keep an eye on especially after such a good start to the week with two final tables and a win in the Triton hold'em short deck events.

Beh Doubles Through Aido

Level 5 : 200/500, 500 ante

On a board showing {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Spades} Kok Weng Beh checked over to Sergio Aido who put out a bet of 7,500. Beh called and it was on to the river.

The river was the {2-Diamonds} and Beh moved all in, shoving for 19,500. Aido didn't waste any time calling. Beh showed down his {A-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} for a rivered straight. Aido let out a sigh and revealed his {5-Clubs}{5-Hearts} for a flopped set.

Beh doubled to over 60,000 while Aido was left with under 30,000.

Alvarado Gets Back to Even

Level 5 : 200/500, 500 ante
JC Alvarado
JC Alvarado

There was roughly 12,000 already in the pot on a flop of {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs} between Richard Yong and JC Alvarado. Yong was first to act and he put out a bet of 5,000. Alvarado was on the button and he decided to raise, making it 12,000. Yong then moved all in rather quickly for a bit over 40,000 and Alvarado called.

JC Alvarado: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Richard Yong: {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}

Yong had a flush draw and could catch up with a club but the turn was the {10-Hearts} and the river was the {2-Spades}. Stacks were counted out and Yong was a bit shorter than Alvarado sending him to the rail.

"Nines flop sets," Alvarado said after the hand. "That's the golden rule."

"So you're back to even now?" Luc Greenwood said, laughing.

"Back to even," Alvarado responded.

Greenwood Takes on Peters in a Battle of Blinds

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante

Sam Greenwood limped in from the small blind and David Peters raised to 1,600 from the big blind. Greenwood called.

The flop came down {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and Greenwood checked. Peters put out a bet of 1,200 which Greenwood called.

Both players checked on the {10-Diamonds} turn and the {10-Hearts} came on the river. There, Greenwood put out his own bet of 1,200 and Peters called. Greenwood showed down {K-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and that was good enough for him to take down the pot as Peters mucked.
