There are now 23 entries in the HKD $1-million Short Deck Ante Only Event, with the latest new arrival China's Fu Lin Sun, plus a re-entry, though the action is moving at such a rapid pace we are unsure of who this maybe.

Gabe Patgorski dusted off his last 20,000 and called for his third bullet of his first buy-in, and promptly doubled this up courtesy of Alan Sass. It was Patgorski the man driving the action, moving all in from the cutoff and being looked up by Sass on the button.

Gabe Patgorski: {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Alan Sass: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

The {6-Clubs}{8-Spades}{9-Spades} flop brought something for everyone, with Patgorski flopping the straight and Sass the nut flush draw. The {k-Hearts} turn and {k-Diamonds} river saw Sass improve to trips, but this was still not enough to best Patgorski's straight and he doubled while Sass took the hit good-naturedly.

"You gotta love short deck," exclaimed Patgorski as he raked in the pot.

Over on table three there were two back-to-back all-ins, though we only arrived during the aftermath of the first as stacks were in the process of being counted down. It was Marius Torbergsen who had earned a double holding {q-Spades}{q-Hearts} with the community cards spread {10-Spades}{q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{a-Hearts}{6-Clubs}. While we do not know when all the chips went in, we do know that Torbergsen's opponent, Yueqine Zhou, had ace-jack. Zhou dropped to 306,000 and Torbergsen climbed to 230,000.

Phil Ivey was all-in from under-the-gun the next hand for 14,000 with Furkat Rakhimov making the call from the big blind.

Phil Ivey: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Furkat Rakhimov: {a-Hearts}{6-Clubs}

The board ran out {9-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{q-Spades}{7-Spades}{j-Clubs} to see Ivey double to 35,000 and Rakhimov drop some chips, but not all that many and the Russian still has 60,000.
