It is the last 10-minute break of the day with the carnage concluding at the end of the next level, at least until tomorrow.

Cao Busts; Torbergsen Rising

Level 6 : 0/0, 4,000 ante

Marius Torbergsen was all in with the {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds} and Wai Kin Yong looked him up with the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}. The board came {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{K-Spades} and Torbergsen rivered a straight to double.

Then, Rui Cao doubled for 92,000 with {K-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} against the {Q-Clubs}{J-Hearts} of Phil Ivey on a board of {Q-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{8-Clubs} only to send his stack over to Torbergsen right after. Romain Arnaud also departed from the very same table as Xuan Tan claimed his stack.

Yu Enters, Robl Wins From Kaplan, Leow Gets One Through

Level 6 : 0/0, 4,000 ante
Andrew Robl
Andrew Robl

Winfred Yu was regaling us with Short Deck Poker takes of sickness but not five minutes later had taken his seat over on Elton Tsang and Andrew Robl's table.

"I just can't help myself," Yu told us, just before shipping his chips in.

"Anytime I see Andrew Robl in a Short Deck game I have to join," bantered Yu good-naturedly. Robl took the jibe in the spirit it was intended and after Yu limped from the small blind, Robl called from one seat over, Elton Tsang come along for the ride, Wai Leong Chan completed the cutoff and Jaime Kaplan checked the button for a muti-way family pot.

The flop came down {7-Spades}{6-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and Yu stuck the rest of his chips in (around 80,000) bringing folds from the rest of the table to climb to 140,000.

Andrew Robl and Jaime Kaplan played a decent pot the next hand, with Kaplan the man driving the action with a mid-position raise to 35,000 with Robl the only caller in position. The {q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} flop saw checks from both players and the {9-Hearts} hit the turn. This brought a bet of 45,000 from Kaplan and a call from Robl. Kaplan took another stab on the {7-Diamonds} river, this time for 90,000 with Robl calling once again.

Kaplan turned over {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs} but this was not enough to beat Robl's {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts} straight and he scooped the pot to climb to 520,000 while Kaplan dropped some to 620,000.

Over on the next table, the recently entered Ivan Leow managed something similar one table over, making it 20,000 from under-the-gun with Paul Phua the only caller two seats over.

The {7-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{a-Clubs} flop saw Leow bet 25,000, which was enough to take it down and the Malaysian climbed to 140,000 or so.

The Madness Continues

Level 6 : 0/0, 4,000 ante

Wai Kin Yong was all in and at risk preflop with the {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} for 43,000 and behind him, Wang Qiang called before then also calling the shove of Marius Torbergsen for another 180,000 on top.

Qiang tabled {A-Spades}{J-Spades} and Torbergsen had the {10-Spades}{9-Hearts}. The board came {J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} and Yong tripled up, while Torbergsen busted on his final bullet of the third entry. Torbergsen re-entered soon after and got the same table.

Turning around to the next table there was an all in by Rui Cao with the {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs} and Paul Phua looked him up with the {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}. The board came {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and Phua took the stack of Cao on the final bullet, who then also re-entered.

Last but not least, Furat Rakhimov doubled through Peter Jetten with a full house holding {J-Hearts}{9-Clubs} on a board of {7-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{A-Spades}.

Yong Busts Once; More Than Doubles Sfter

Level 6 : 0/0, 4,000 ante

Richard Yong was all in for 55,000 with the {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs} and Devan Tang called with the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}, as did Gabe Patgorski with {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}. The remaining two active players hecked the {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds} flop and the {9-Clubs} turn. On the {Q-Diamonds} river, Patgorski bet 60,000 and Tang called to get shown a boat.

Yong had to reload for the final bullet over on the feature table and got those in a mere five minutes later in a three-way all in for 84,000.

Richard Yong: {Q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Ivan Leow: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Alan Sass: {A-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

The board came {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{7-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{K-Spades} and Leow busted his second bullet, Yong nearly tripled up.

The Chips Are Flying Left and Right

Level 6 : 0/0, 4,000 ante

Peter Jetten has not long sent Hau Lim Chan to the rail and we arrived just as all the chips went in on a flop of {10-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{k-Spades}.
Jetten had {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} for a set and had Chan covered, with Chan holding {k-Hearts}{q-Spades} for a pair and a straight draw.

The {8-Diamonds} turn changed nothing and Jetten improved to a full house on the {8-Clubs} river to bust Chan and climb to 1-million in chips.

On the table directly behind that one there was another all-in, this one three-way between Phil Ivey, holding {j-Spades}{9-Diamonds}, Furkat Rakhimov, holding {10-Spades}{10-Hearts} and Marius Torbergsen, holding {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} on a board reading {7-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{7-Spades}{8-Diamonds}.

Rakhimov busted a bullet but still had one more left and was immediately moved to balance tables, Torbergsen tripled to 300,000 and Ivey dropped some, but still has loads with a stack of 1.12 million.

Torbergsen Back for More

Level 6 : 0/0, 4,000 ante

It is already the third entry for Marius Torbergsen and the first bullet got in for around 140,000 with the {J-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} on a flop of {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}. Wai Kin Yong looked him up with the {Q-Spades}{10-Spades} for bottom two pair. The {Q-Clubs} turn left Torbergsen drawing dead, making the reload after the meaningless {9-Clubs} river a formality.

Just prior to that, Phil Ivey had doubled through Romain Arnaud and moved up to two times the full starting stack.

Doubles For Robl and Cao

Level 5 : 0/0, 3,000 ante

There have been no new entries or bust-outs for a while, but chips are still changing hands quite frequently. One beneficiary of all the chip movements has been Andrew Robl, who earned a double at the expenses of Elton Tsang. The pair were in the process of discussing Tsang's monster pot against Jason Koon in the Million Euro Cash Game the previous evening as Tsang casually flicked off a 28,000 early position raise off the top of his stack.

Robl was the only caller on the button and it was heads-up to a flop of {q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{j-Hearts}, which Tsang checked. Robl moved all-in for 108,000 and while Tsang did not look as though he liked it he grudgingly made the call.

"You have nine-ten?" Tsang asked Robl.

"I have a ten," the US pro replied, turning over {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}, which was trailing to Tsang's {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}, until the {9-Clubs} turn saw Robl make the straight. The {a-Hearts} river completed the hand and Robl stacked up to 275,000 while Tsang dropped to 450,000.

Rui Cao earned a double at the expense of Hau Lim Chan the next table over immediately afterward. It was Paul Phua who opened the action with an under-the-gun limp before Chan raised to 56,000 from middle position. Rui Cao casually threw out the call and Phua folded to take the action heads-up to the {9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{10-Hearts} flop.

Chan open-shoved and Cao called immediately. Chan had {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} while Cao had {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}. The {8-Clubs} turn changed nothing, but the {a-Hearts} river gave Cao the straight and he climbed to 250,000 while Chan dropped to 350,000.
