Phil Ivey departed from the feature table previously and was just all in for 170,000 with the on the outer tables. Wang Qiang called with the . The board came and Ivey doubled.
Hau Lim Chan was all in for 275,000 on the flop of and turned over the for two pair. Paul Phua had an up and down straight draw with the and the turn and river were of no help.
Over on the feature table, a four-way flop of emerged, Furkat Rakhimov bet 30,000 with the for trips jacks and Wai Leong Chan called with the . The appeared on the turn and Chan bet 60,000, Rakhimov called.
The river completed the board and Chan moved all in for 160,000. Rakhimov was deep into the think tank and eventually folded the best hand.
The next four-way flop came and Rakhimov got his stack in with the , Jason Koon looked him up with the for the straight. The turn and the river improved Rakhimov to a full house and he doubled.
Marius Torbergsen raised to 40,000 with the and Jason Koon called with . On the flop, Koon jammed for more than 1.6 million and Torbergsen called off his shorter stack. The turn gave Torbergsen top pair, but the river improved Koon to a straight.
Then, Ivey shoved for 59,000 with the first to act and Koon called with . Alan Sass moved all in for 97,000 with the , Koon called and joked "I think Phil is gonna win this one" before the showdown proceeded.
Ivey indeed flopped trips on , but the turn gave Sass a full house. The on the river didn't provide the one outer and Ivey busted on his last bullet for now.
The action picked up right where it left off before the break, with the players getting a lot of chips into the middle.
We'll pick up with Wai Kin Yong, whom we concluded the action with before the break with Yong opening the action to 24,000 from middle position and Gabe Patgorski defending from the big blind.
The flop came down with Patgorski calling Yong's 35,000 continuation-bet, the hit the turn, Patgorski shoved and Yong made the call. Both players held king-queen and the pot was chopped.
There was a three-way all-in on the next table over with Paul Phua (cutoff), Peter Jetten (small blind) and Hau Lim Chan (big blind) getting all the chips in pre-flop. We arrived with the flop spread with Jetten holding , Chan holding and Phua with .
The turn and river completed the hand, and saw Chan triple, Jetten win the side pot and Phua pass both players some chips.
The newly arrived Andrew Robl padded out Chan's stack to the tune of 100,000 the very next hand with the two getting all the chips in pre-flop.
Andrew Robl:
Hau Lim Chan:
Robl was in bad shape but flopped a gutshot draw on the flop. The turn did not change anything, and the river gave Chan a flush for good measure to chip him up further, while Robl loaded up another bullet.
Marius Torbergsen busted the feature table not long afterward to thin the field by one, with Ivey busting not long afterward.
The 20 Short Deck Ante Only players are back in action and Jason Koon, Furkat Rakhimov, Marius Torbergsen, Wai Leong Chan, Devan Tang and Phil Ivey have all been moved to the feature table, which will be streamed live shortly. You can check out some of the crazy action first hand (with a 30-minute delay) in the 'Live Stream' tab at the top of the page.
Wang Qiang opened the action from under-the-gun with a raise to 27,000 and was called by a newly re-entered Gabe Patgorski before Wai Kin Yong moved all in for 160,000 from the cutoff. Wang called, Patgorski folded and the cards were turned over.
Wai Kin Yong:
Wang Qiang:
Qiang uttered an expletive is his native language when the came down, before erupting into Bond-villain-like laughter when the hit the turn to see him take the lead in the hand. It was Yong's turn to laugh when the came in on the river to give the Malaysian the nut straight and he doubled to 350,000 while Qiang dropped to 660,000.
The Short Deck Ante Only players are on a 10-minute break and here's how the field stacking up:
There was a two arrivals with 'Shanghai' Qiang Wang and Xiaochuan Yu entering, though Yu busted less than 15-minutes after taking her seat.
Over on the action table (Koon and Tang's) we picked up the action in a four-way pot between Jason Koon (early position), Marius Torbergsen (middle position), Wai Leong Chan (cutoff) and Devan Tang (button) on a flop of just as Koon checked the action over to Torbergsen.
There was close to 28,000 in the pot and Torbergsen fired for 14,000, which deterred no-one and the Norwegian was called in every spot. The turn paired the board and saw Koon check again, with Torbergsen firing a second barrel, this one a slightly more hefty 50,000. That was enough to fold out the rest of the players in the hand and Torbergsen raked in the pot.
Players are moving around so much and busting and re-entering at such a rapid pace it is tough to keep tabs on all the action. Phil Ivey has been moved over to Devan Tang and Jason Koon's table and looks to be sitting on 500,000 and Furkat Rakhimov has busted and re-entered and has recently been sat at the same table.
Dan Cates and Elton Tsang have been moved over to Alan Sass and Richard Yong's table and on the next table over Gabe Patgorski has just busted to Paul Phua and does not look to be coming back in, at least for now at any rate.
Patgorski's bust-out has been a typical example of the action witnessed so far today, with Paul Phua instigating things by moving all-in from under-the-gun. Neighbor Hau Lim Chan slammed down the call, as did Patgorski and the recently arrived Rui Cao, fresh from his Main Event final table appearance, also decided to come along for the ride.
Paul Phua:
Hau Lim Chan:
Gabe Patgorski:
Rui Cao:
The flop brought something for everyone but Patgorski, though Phua was still leading and this remained the case all the way through the turn and river to see the Malaysian quadrupled to 550,000 or so, Chan drop to 200,000, Patgorski hit the rail, and Cao bust his first bullet of his initial buy-in.
"Thanks for coming Rui!" said a chuckling Phua as he reached over to swipe Cao's stack from under his nose as Cao called for another bullet.
