Robl Pulls in a Pot Before Break

Level 6 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Dan Smith opened to 20,000 from under the gun, Andrew Robl called in late position and Tan Xuan three-bet to 91,000 from the cutoff. Smith folded to Robl who called and the dealer spread out {5-Clubs}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs} on the flop.

Robl check-called a bet of 80,000 to see the {j-Spades} turn card and both players checked to the {4-Diamonds} river. Robl pushed in 90,000 and Xuan quickly folded, sending the pot to Robl.

Clock Paused; Four More Hands Until Dinner Break & Redraw

Level 6 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

With nine minutes left in the level, the clock has been paused and four more hands will be played together until the dinner break.

While it's only the dinner break that's up after level 6, a normal end-of-day procedure will be followed as the entire field will bag their chips, then redraw and go on dinner break. After the break, the tables balanced as much between recreational and professional players as possible.

PokerNews coverage will resume around 9:30 p.m. local time.

Phua Hanging On

Level 6 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Paul Phua
Paul Phua

After a raise from Winfred Yu, Paul Phua moved in for his final 142,000 and Rob Yong called one seat over. Yu folded to leave the two tournament organizers to duke it out.

Paul Phua: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Rob Yong: {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}

The camera's and a lot of railbirds came swooping in to see the action unfold, but the {q-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{2-Hearts} left the hand void of any further excitement. Phua doubled up after the {5-Hearts} turn and {j-Clubs} river and Yong indicated to the dealer to pay the man his money.

"Thank you, you're a really good friend," Phua laughed.

Leon Tsoukernik
Leon Tsoukernik

The field is down to 49 after Leon Tsoukernik was unable to spin up his short stack to make him the fifth elimination of the day.

Tsoukernik got it in good, holding {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} against the {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} of Rob Yong. However, the board ran out {j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades}{a-Spades} to pair Yong on the river and end it for the King's Casino owner.

Dan Smith raised to 18,000 in late position, Andrew Robl three-bet to 95,000 from the small blind, Wai Leong Chan took some time before folding the big blind, and Smith called. The flop came down {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} and Robl bet 115,000, which Smith called.

On the {5-Hearts} turn, Robl checked, Smith bet 185,000 after using one time extension, and Robl called. The river was the {a-Clubs} and Robl checked again. Smith shoved all in and Robl called it off for 445,000 within ten seconds.

Smith showed {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for a missed draw and Robl doubled up with his {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}.

Level 6 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

The flop showed {k-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs} and there was 45,000 in the pot. Cary Katz bet 15,000 with his {k-Spades}{10-Spades} and Chin Wei Lim was holding {k-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} for top two when bumped it up to 46,000, Katz called with his pair of kings.

The {10-Hearts} peeled off as a turn card and Katz check-called a bet of 105,000 from Lim. A {3-Diamonds} landed on the river and Katz checked to Lim who moved all in with the worst of it for 685,000.

Katz took his time, but in the end, folded the best hand and sent the pot to Lim.
