Tsoukernik in the Danger Zone

Level 5 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

On a {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{4-Spades}{a-Diamonds} board, Leon Tsoukernik was already left with just 129,000 when Rob Yong bet enough to put him to the test for his last remaining bit as well.

Tsoukernik, visibly unpleased with the situation, ended up open-folding {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds} after burning through two time extensions. Yong decided not to show to his good friend and mucked his hand face-down.

Paul Phua: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Orpen Kisacikoglu: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

Chan Gets it In; Table Breaks

Level 5 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

With the {q-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} board completed, Timothy Adams had 70,000 in front of him in the big blind. In late position, Wai Leong Chan went all in for 480,000 after using a time bank card.

Adams burned through several time extensions before mucking his hand, leaving the pot to Chan.

Directly after the hand, tournament director Luca Vivaldi stepped in and broke the table to divide the players among the other three remaining tables with pros only, as there are 24 of them left after Fedor Holz' bustout.

Smith Sends Holz Out the Door

Level 5 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Fedor Holz
Fedor Holz

Fedor Holz opened to 13,000 from the cutoff and Dan Smith three-bet to 66,000 in the big blind. Holz called and the dealer fanned out {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{3-Hearts} on the flop.

Smith check-called a bet of 31,000 from Holz and a {10-Clubs} fell on the turn. Action checked to Holz who pushed in 250,000 and Smith instantly check-raised Holz all in for his total stack of about 330,000, Holz called.

Fedor Holz: {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Dan Smith: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}

Smith turned over a pair of aces, leading the way against the draws of Holz who needed a to hit to stay alive. An {a-Clubs} river did not improve the German's hand as he was eliminated by the bullets of Smith.

"Jungleman" Clashes With Tang

Level 5 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

On an {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop, Dan Cates bet 45,000 from the big blind and Danny Tang called in middle position. The turn was the {k-Spades} and Cates casually flicked in four chips, totaling 175,000. Tang once again came along with the call.

The river was the {j-Hearts} and Cates used one of his time bank cards before betting four chips again, this time worth 400,000. Tang double-checked his hole cards before using up two time bank cards of his own. He then slid almost all his chips forward totaling around 800,000 and "Jungleman" instantly flung both of his cards in the muck with a high pitch.

Smith Continues to Climb

Level 5 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Fedor Holz started the action off with a raise to 13,000 from under the gun and Tan Xuan called in the hijack. Dan Smith elected to fire in a three-bet of 56,000 and both of his opponents called.

The dealer spread out {q-Spades}{10-Spades}{6-Diamonds} on the flop, action checked to Smith who bet 80,000 and only Holz stuck around to see the {4-Hearts} turn card.

Holz checked to Smith, he pushed in more than enough to put Holz all in. Holz took a brief moment to think before he let his hand go, shipping the pot to Smith.
