Salomon First Player Eliminated

Level 2 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Rick Salomon
Rick Salomon

Rick Salomon opened to 10,000 from middle position, Sosia Jiang called in the hijack and Andrew Pantling three-bet to 30,000 on the button. Salomon pushed in a 110,000 four-bet, Jiang quickly let go of her hand and Pantling took a moment before he pushed in the chips to call.

The flop came down {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{8-Spades}, Salomon bet 50,000 and Pantling instantly bumped it up to 150,000. Salomon moved his remaining stack of 642,000 into the middle and Pantling snap-called.

Rick Salomon: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Andrew Pantling: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

Salomon had a nut flush draw and a straight possibility against Pantling's top set. The {4-Hearts} on the turn changed nothing and Salomon would need to hit to stay alive.

The {8-Diamonds} river card sill changed nothing as Pantling took down the pot with his queens full, making Salomon the first casualty of the Triton Million.

Rajkumar Chips Up Through Dwan

Level 2 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Vivek Rajkumar
Vivek Rajkumar

Tom Dwan opened to 8,000 from the button with {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}, Vivek Rajkumar was holding {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} when he three-bet to 35,000 in the small blind and Elton Tsang pushed in a four-bet of 100,000 with his {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}. Dwan and Rajkumar both called to see the {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop.

All three players checked to the {4-Diamonds} turn card where Rajkumar led out for 210,000 with his flush. Tsang thought for a moment before he pushed his hand into the muck and Dwan called shortly afterward.

The {a-Spades} hit the felt as a river card and Rajkumar bet 350,000. Dwan used a couple of time bank cards before he opted to fold his hand, sending the pot to Rajkumar.

Tang flung in one of his time bank chips before calling it off, but couldn't beat Cao's {9-Spades}{3-Diamonds} for two pair.

Leow Grinding it Back Up

Level 2 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Ivan Leow has been very active in the first level of the day but trended down to about three-quarters of a starting stack. In a hand against Chin Wei Lim, he won some of it back. On an {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop, Lim was in the big blind and Leow on the button and Lim checked. Leow bet 25,000 and Lim called.

The turn was the {2-Spades} and Lim check-folded to a bet of 47,000. Shortly after, Leow won another small hand to move up to 975,000.

Aaron Zang
Aaron Zang

Aaron Zang raised to 8,000 from under the gun with {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}, Paul Phua picked up the second-best starting hand in the hijack and three-bet to 26,000 with {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}. Back on Zang, he four-bet to 95,000 and Phua called.

The flop came down {9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and Zang continued for 100,000, which Phua called again. The {10-Clubs} on the turn brought four to a straight and Zang checked. Phua bet 180,000 with his kings and Zang called with his aces.

Both players quickly checked the {4-Spades} river and Zang took it down with the higher pair.

Katz Takes Down Another Pot

Level 2 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Chin Wei Lim raised to 8,000 from middle position, Cary Katz called in the hijack and Haralabos Voulgaris defended his big blind. The dealer fanned out {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} on the flop and action checked to Lim who bet 10,000.

Both of his opponents called and the {8-Diamonds} fell as a turn card. All three players checked to the {9-Hearts} river card, action checked to Katz who threw in 3,000 and only Lim called. Katz tabled {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for two pair and Lim mucked, sending the pot to Katz.

'durrrr' Falls to Kuznetsov

Level 2 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Tom Dwan
Tom Dwan

Tom 'durrrr' Dwan raised to 9,000 in early position with {a-Spades}{j-Spades}, Timothy Adams called on the button with {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} and Igor Kurganov called from the small blind with {2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}.

Timofey Kuznetsov glanced over Dwan's stack, who already had dropped quite a bit below the starting stack earlier, before three-betting to 52,500 with the {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}. Dwan called, Adams and Kurganov folded.

The flop came {q-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and Kuznetsov bet 40,000. Dwan used a time bank chip before raising to 132,000. Kuznetsov three-bet shoved and Dwan called it off for 382,000 total with the nut flush draw against Kuznetsov's top pair top kicker.

Neither the {3-Diamonds} turn nor {10-Diamonds} river brought the spade he needed and Dwan joined Salomon on the rail as the second elimination of the day.
