Koon was the leader when the dust settled, thanks in part to the elimination of Wei Hsiang Yeu in the final level of the evening. The GGPoker Ambassador was a fixture near the top of the leaderboard throughout the day, taking advantage of the big swings in a game that lends itself to a lot of shoving and jamming.

The chip leader is followed closely by Elton Tsang in second and Phil Ivey in third. Veteran Short Deck players Wai Kin Yong and Ivan Leow round out the top five.

Yong Folds the Best Hand

Level 12 : 0/0, 15,000 ante

Jason Koon limped in with {8-Clubs}{8-Spades} and Wai Kim Yong raised to 120,000. The rest of the table folded and Koon called to see {8-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{a-Clubs} on the flop.

Koon checked his set and flat-called when Yong bet 45,000. The turn was {j-Hearts}.

Koon checked again and Yong checked back with his higher set.

The river was {9-Hearts} and Koon bet 90,000. Yong tossed the best hand in the muck and Koon took another pot.
