Hand-Based Action in Play

Level 29 : Blinds 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante

Upon reaching the final table, the level duration is no longer determined by a fixed time and instead a fixed number of hands instead. There will be 24 hands played at the current level before that figure is reduced to 20 hands per level once six players remain. The next change will then come with four players or fewer still in contention.

After the clash in the first hand, there has been no major action and most pots were single-raised without a flop.

Joshua Gebissa then raised to 1,600,000 with the K9 and Dajie Zhuo defended the superior KQ. On the 1054 flop, both players checked and Zhuo bet the 3 turn for 1,200,000. Gebissa folded and Zhuo won the pot.

In the very first hand of the final table on the old blinds still, Punnat Punsri min-raised to 1,200,000 and Sergei Petrushevskii three-bet to 5,100,000 in the big blind. Punsri used one time bank extension and called.

The flop came K53 and Petrushevskii continued for 2,400,000, picking up a call from Punsri ahead of the 8 turn. Petrushevskii had 7,200,000 behind and needed some additional time for his next move, using two time bank extensions. He then pushed all-in and Punsri beat him into the pot.

Punnat Punsri: AA

Upon showdown, Petrushevskii already started gathering his belongings and taking off the microphone even before the 7 on the river ended his run. He takes home $101,700 and Punsri joined the chip leaders.

Michael Chi Zhang
Michael Chi Zhang

In the final hand of the level on the live stream table, the chips went into the middle between Michael Zhang and Punnat Punsri with the latter as the player at risk. Zhang raised to 5,000,000 in the small blind with slightly more than one big blind behind and then called when Punsri jammed from the big blind.

Michael Zhang: Q10 All in
Punnat Punsri: KJ

The 652 flop brought no help nor did the 4 on the turn, which now gave outs for a chop to Zhang. He couldn't get there with the K river and bowed out in 10th place for $84,500. The final nine players are now on an extended break of 30 minutes prior to the restart of the final table.
