Nick Petrangelo Wins $150k Anniversary Special ($2,212,910)
Level 22
: Blinds 50,000/125,000, 125,000 ante
Nick Petrangelo has capped off a lucrative Triton Poker Series Jeju II series by taking down the $150k 10th Anniversary Special for $2,212,910 — the third largest score of his career — after making a heads-up deal with Joao Simao.
Despite going all in blind in the final hands of play, the victory marked his fifth cash of the series, and came as a bit of redemption after placing runner-up in the $50k 8-Handed event earlier in the festival.
Although Simao technically placed runner-up, he walked away with the most cash ($2,517,090) and as the biggest winner of the series overall, having won the $200,000 Invitational for $7,250,000 just a few days ago.
Stay tuned for a recap of the final day.
