Cooler Sees Nakai Eliminated
Level 4
: Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Alexey Lozuyk raised to 5,000 in middle position, which Jean-Noel Thorel called in the cutoff before Ryuta Nakai completed in the big blind.
Lozuyk continued for 6,500 on a 4♠Q♠K♣ flop, which Thorel called before Nakai check-raised to 31,000. Lozuyk responded with a three-bet shove for 317,000. Thorel folded, but Nakai called off his own 119,000, putting him at risk of elimination.
Ryuta Nakai: Q♥4♥
Alexey Lozuyk: K♦Q♦
Both players had flopped two pair, and when the 9♠ turn and A♠ river offered Nakai no help, he joined the rail.
