Ponakovs Doubles Through Kulev
Level 8
: Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Alex Kulev raised to 8,500 on the button and faced immediate resistance as Aleksejs Ponakovs three-bet to 24,000 from the small blind. Kulev responded by putting Ponakovs all-in, and Ponakovs was all too happy to send his 103,000 into the middle.
Aleksejs Ponakovs: Q♠Q♦
Alex Kulev: 10♥10♦
The runout was clean for Ponakovs, as the dealer provided a 3♣4♥7♥J♣9♥ board, seeing his superior pair hold.
