Padilha On the Up, Davies on the Rail
Level 9
: Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Seeing a raise to 11,000 from Pedro Padilha ahead of him, Seth Davies three-bet to 35,000 on the button. Padilha then four-bet jammed, and Davies called, putting his 231,000 stack at risk.
Seth Davies: 10♠10♦
Pedro Padilha: J♠J♥
Davies found little help from the 7♥6♠6♣ flop, and when his backdoor straight draw opportunities were taken away by the A♦ turn, he was left with just two outs. The deck was unforthcoming, as the 6♥ completed the board, ensuring Padilha added Davies' stack to his own.
