Big Field Still Growing in the $25k Titi Poker

With late registration still open until Level 10, there are already 166-entries and counting in the $25k NLH Titi Poker. That amounts to a prize pool of around $4.2 million at the moment with more to come.

Defeng Chen currently leads the way, holding a big advantage over the field with well over 200 big blinds. However, suffice to say, there's an awful lot more poker to play in this throughout the remainder of Day 1, plus Days 2 and 3.

Klemens Roiter Halts the Lococo Wrecking Ball to End Triton Hoodoo

Klemens Roiter
Klemens Roiter

Klemens Roiter had reached 11 final tables on the Triton Super High Roller Series without managing to close the show. That was before today.

The Austrian, who is currently on a heater of searing proportions, burned brighter than ever to break through at Triton Jeju II, taking down Event #2: $20K NLH 8-Handed for $771,000.

In doing so, Roiter halted a brutal display from the seemingly unstoppable Alejandro Lococo, who had annihilated the final table on his way to heads-up, knocking out five opponents, including a double elimination, to set up the showdown with Roiter.

Wow! What have we just witnessed?!

The Alejandro Lococo wrecking ball is out for destruction after a double-knockout of Mehdi Chaoui and Justin Saliba at the final table of the $20k.

Saliba moved all-in for his remaining 5,400,000 from the button, Lococo in the small blind followed suit, and Chaoui in the big blind came along for his total 4,200,000 as well.

Justin Saliba: Q♠J♦All in
Medhi Chaoui: 9♦9♥All in
Alejandro Lococo: A♣10♠

In a monster pot at any final table, let alone at a Triton with $771,000 up top, all three players stood to watch on as a board of J♣7♥8♣Q♣9♣ delivered Lococo a flush over Chaoui's three of a kind over Saliba's two pair.

Klemens Roiter, who secured an extra $230,000, by getting out the way, joined the trio in handshakes all round, as Lococo's final table domination set up the heads-up battle between himself and the Austrian.

Justin Chu Eliminated in 5th Place ($233,000)

There's yet another player to fall to what looks like an unstoppable Alejandro Lococo, after Justin Chu exited the $20k.

Chu moved all-in from under the gun for his remaining 2,200,000 and Lococo in the big blind was the only player to make the call.

Justin Chu: 8♠8♦All in
Alejandro Lococo: A♥3♥

Chu's snowmen gave him a good chance of a double, but the dealer tabled a board of 5♣A♦K♦2♥3♣ to give Lococo two-pair and send another big pot the way of the chip leader.

Meanwhile, Chu banks his fifth cash across the Super High Roller Series and Triton ONE tours in what is an impressively growing resume for the Taiwanese player.

Chin Wei Lim Eliminated in 6th Place ($179,000)

Chin Wei Lim won't be adding a fourth Triton title to his impressive record on the tour in the $20k NLH 8-Handed.

The Malaysian star moved all-in for his remaining 3,600,000 in response to a raise of 2,600,000 from Mehdi Chaoui in early position, who made the call.

Chin Wei Lim: A♠K♥All in
Mehdi Chaoui: Q♦J♦

Lim was ahead preflop, but not after the first three cards of 4♠Q♥8♣ were dealt. The turn J♠ meant Chaoui picked up top-two, and the 7♦ brick confirmed Lim's fate.

He picked up $179,000 for his efforts and a 29th cash on poker's most exclusive high-stakes tour.
