2026 Triton Poker Series Jeju II
Start of FT chipleader Yu Zhang's entertaining run has come to an end in the $20k NLH 8-Handed.
Running low on blinds, Zhang moved all-in for 875,000 from early position and found a caller in Justin Saliba on the button.
Yu Zhang: K♥8♠
Justin Saliba: A♥A♣
Zhang had run into bullets, and would need a kevlar-esque runout to protect him. It didn't come, however, as the 6♠4♥Q♦7♦6♦ board was clean as you like for Saliba and the Chinese player's impressive deep run was ended earlier than he would have liked at the final table.
Jesse Lonis' turbo-charged final day performance has come to a swift end at the $20k NLH 8-Handed final table after running into trouble at the hands of Alejandro Lococo.
Lonis raised to 450,000 from under the gun, with only Lococo calling from the big blind.
After a 7♦3♠6♣ flop, Lococo checked, Lonis bet 650,000, and Lococo once again made the call.
The 7♥ turn card paired the board, and this time Lococo led for 800,000. The Triton stream graphics showed that GTO Wizard recommended an all-in raise 100% of the time, and Lonis played it by the book as he moved in for his remaining 3,100,000. Lococo snapped and Lonis saw the bad news.
Jesse Lonis: J♥J♣
Alejandro Lococo: J♦7♠
The last remaining jack in the deck didn't appear to save Lonis. The river 2♠ came and the ever-entertaining New Yorker exited the table as Lococo raked in a huge one.
Jon Vallinas may not be chasing Triton ONE Player of the Year points today in the $25k Titi Poker, but it hasn't stopped the Spanish crusher making a fast start in this one.
With over $3.5 million in Triton earnings, Vallinas has good memories of Jeju and $25,000 buyins after finishing 2nd in this corresponding event at Jeju I back in March this year.
On that occasion, he'd narrowly miss out to Quan Zhou, but still banked $836,000 for his deep run. And, while there's still a long way to go in this three-day event, the Spaniard sits in the current top 10, which also includes Alex Theologis looking for back-to-back wins and Ethan "Rampage" Yau.
Biao Ding came up just short of the official final table, after losing a flip in a battle of the blinds with Alejandro Lococo.
The Argentine would put all 4,500,000 of his soldiers in the middle from the small blind, and Ding elected to move in for his tournament life in response.
Biao Ding: A♥10♦
Alejandro Lococo: 2♣2♥
It was a classic race and Lococo surged well-clear when the 10♠6♦2♠ flop came down. The K♦ turn and 3♣ river changed nothing and Ding was the first to leave the feature stage.
We've reached an unofficial final table in the blink of an eye in the $20k, check out the runners and riders below:
