Golla Makes Comeback With Two Double Ups

Pratap Golla had just lost a big pot before mounting his comeback in the hands that followed. He pushed all in for 12,000 from under the gun and found a call from Yucel Kaan, who had him covered. Players flipped their cards.

The board ran out 8♦2♣3♠4♣2♦. Kaan picked up a flush draw on the turn to go with his overcards, but Golla managed to hold on the river with his pocket tens to give him a much needed double up.

The very next hand, Golla shoved again for around 27,000 and was called by Mullin Emmett. Again, it was Golla who was at risk. Players turned over their cards.

This time, Golla was way out ahead with his pocket queens against Emmett's pocket fours. The board ran out 3♠A♥9♦5♣3♦ and Golla held to double up to around 61,000.

Following a middle position open raise, Matteo Calzoni moved all in for around 19,000 from the button. Mirko De Biasio then moved all in over the top from the big blind for 46,100. The original raiser folded and so two players flipped their cards, with Calzoni at risk.

Action was on the flop on a board of 9♦10♠8♦. Fehim Hajdari moved all in with the shorter of the stacks and was called by both Marios Trattou and Marco Coccone.

The turn came the 2♦ and two players were in a side pot. Marco Coccone checked and Marios Trattou moved all in for around 100,000. Coccone folded his hand and so two players flipped over their cards for the showdown, with Hajdari at risk.

Following an early position raise, Eros Calderone called on the button and Panteleimon Pontos went all in from the big blind for 17,900. The original raiser flat called the shove and then Calderone made a large iso shove for over 100,000 chips. The original raiser folded his hand, meaning two players flipped their cards for the all in.

"Thank you!", said Pontos, who was thrilled to see the other opponent fold.

The board ran out 4♥9♦9♣4♣A♥. Pontos made a flush draw on the turn but faded his outs on the river.

The two players chopped the pot at the expense of the original raiser, who said "It's not a good all in."

"Why?", said Calderone, who also expressed his happiness with the result.

Martinez Takes One From Golla With River Check Raise

Ivan Martinez raised to 1,600 from middle position and was called by Pratap Golla. The player in the big blind also called and three players went to the flop.

The flop came J♥2♠7♠ and Martinez made a continuation bet of 1,500, which Golla called.

The turn came the 10♣. Martinez checked and Golla bet 4,500, which Martinez called.

Thr river was the J♣ and Martinez checked again. Golla bet out 7,000 and Martinez responded with a check raise to 35,000. Golla was forced to make the fold and Martinez took it down. He now has around 160,000 chips.
