Matthew Rowne raised to 1,000 from late position and Kieran Davey reraised to 4,200. A player who goes by MK then four-bet to 13,400 from the big blind. Rowne folded and Davey pushed all in, which MK called. Two players flipped their cards, with MK at risk from the all in.
MK: K♠K♥
Kieran Davey: A♠A♥
MK had pocket kings and Davey had pocket aces. The board ran out J♠A♣2♥8♦2♦. Davey further improved to a set of aces on the flop to win the pot. MK was eliminated from the tournament and stood up to take his leave.
Kevin Steward raised to 700 from under the gun and was called by Tuan Le on the button and a player who goes by the initials Nicholas Walsh in the small blind.
The flop ran out 4♥A♣A♠. Walsh checked and Steward bet 1,100. Le folded and Walsh called.
The turn came the 7♠ and Walsh checked. Steward bet 2,200 and Walsh called. The river was the Q♠ and Walsh checked again. Steward bet out 8,000 and Walsh scratched his head and shrugged before throwing in a chip to call.
Christopher Holmes open raised from middle position, Samuel Mather three-bet from the button, and Teodor Evstratiev four-bet from the big blind. Holmes folded and Mather five-bet all in. Evstratiev casually flicked a chip in to call and players flipped over their cards, with Evstratiev at risk.
Teodor Evstratiev: J♥J♣
Samuel Mather: Q♣Q♥
Evstratiev had pocket jacks and Mather had pocket queens. The board ran out 5♦5♥3♠8♥8♠ and neither player improved, so Mather held up to win the pot for a near-double up. Evstratiev was eliminated from the tournament early.
