The PokerStars UK & Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) has returned to Scotland for the first time in eight years. The UKIPT Edinburgh runs October 24-29 at Genting Casino Fountain Park. Today's schedule includes Day 1a of the £1,100 Main Event, which kicks off at 2 p.m. local time.

Players in the Main Event will start the tournament with a stack of 30,000 chips. Blind levels will run for 40 minutes and start at 100/100 with a 100 big blind ante.

There are three starting flights and a maximum of three entries per flight will be allowed, with late registration open until the start of Level 11. Day 1a will play down to 15 percent of the field, who will all make it through to Day 2 and into the money.

Recently, PokerStars Team Pro player Benjamin Spragg finished first in the 2023 UKIPT Brighton Main Event, earning his first series title and £69,120. In the latest UKIPT held in London, Dylan Bradley of Newcastle emerged as the outright winner to earn £71,650 in prize money and the PokerStars trophy.

A new UKIPT champion will be crowned on Sunday night.

There will also be plenty of off-felt activities to take part in, include bowling on Friday evening, mini golf on Sunday afternoon and Players Party on Saturday night

PokerNews will be bringing you live updates of Day 1a straight from the tournament floor and following the event all the way down to a winner.
