Day 1a of the PokerStars UKIPT Edinburgh Main Event, running at the Genting Casino Fountain Park, has now concluded. A total of 72 entries were made to the flight, and of those, 11 players made it through to Day 2 and into the money.
Daniel Gormley finished Day 1a as the chip leader with 436,500 chips. The UK-based player is now on track for his biggest tournament win as he makes a return on Day 2.
Nohad Teliani finished second with 372,000. Coming off recent final table cashes in the High Roller and Super High Roller events at PokerStars Summer Festival Malta earlier in the year, Teliani is in a great position for another major score.
Alexander Gordon of the UK bagged in third place with 206,500.
Also returning for Day 2 are Mantas Urbonas, PokerStars ambassador Felix Schneiders, and football influencer Elliot Hackney.
