Docherty Clashes With Ahuja, Prevails

UKIPT leaderboard winner David Docherty raised to 1,100 and picked up a call from the player on the button before Ankit Ahuja, fresh off a third place finish in the High Roller today, reraised to 5,600 from the small blind. Docherty made the call and the button folded.

The flop came 4♠5♠4♣. Ahuja made a continuation bet of 3,500 and Docherty raised to 8,500. Ahuja took his time before moving all in. Docherty quickly called for 22,500 and players flipped their cards.

Docherty had pocket tens and Ahuja had a backdoor straight draw with overcards to the board. Still, Docherty was well ahead.

The turn came the K♦ and the river was the 7♠. Docherty held to win the pot and left Ahuja with just 4,000 chips left behind.
