Day 2 of the PokerStars UKIPT London Main Event, held at the Hippodrome Casino, has now reached its conclusion.
A total of 374 entries were made to the event across three starting flights, making for a prize pool of £359,040. Of those, 56 players returned for Day 2 already in the money.
Eight players will return to the felt for the final day. The next to bust will receive £9,220 in prize money. First place is set to walk away with £71,650.
At the end of Day 2, Daniel Bedson of the UK leads with 2,485,000 chips. Bedson has $151,042 in recorded live tournament winnings, most of which came from a first place finish in the GKUPT London Grand Final last year for £105,000.
Stephen Cherry of the UK bagged and tagged in second place with 2,295,000. Oscar Kirby-Hogarty ended the day in third place with 2,250,000 chips and is the only other player to finish with over two million. Fourth place Bojidar Boiadjiev bagged 1,175,000.
