Kashani Crumbles in Brutal Cooler as Sets Collide

Level 5 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante
Arian Kashani
Arian Kashani

Kitete-Kikumba Johnson opened from under the gun to 1,200 and Arian Kashani called from middle position before Maciej Kwiatkowski three-bet the small blind to 3,000. Johnson folded, and Kashani called.

On the A78 flop, Kwiatkowski checked it over to Kashani, who fired 5,000. Kwiatkowski then raised to 17,000, and Kashani shipped his stack of 45,000 into the middle. Kwiatkowski snap-called.

Arian Kashani: 77 All in
Maciej Kwiatkowski: AA

A brutal cooler for Kashani, whose bottom set was nowhere near good enough against the top set of Kwiatkowski. Only the last seven in the deck could save Kashani, but the 98 runout wasn't what he was looking for, and he was eliminated.

On a flop of 585, there were around 3,000 chips in the middle when Jack Solomon checked it over to Kai Chan, who fired 2,600. Solomon called.

Both then checked the K turn to see a 3 drop on the river, where Solomon fired 3,500. Chan called.

Solomon showed 108 for a pair of eights, but Chan had a pair of kings with KJ to scoop the pot.

Allen Flops Trips

Level 5 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

With around 3,500 chips already in the middle on a flop of 6J6, Paul Trotter checked from the big blind and Jack Allen fired 800 from the cutoff. Kelvin Cheng called on the button, and Trotter folded.

Both checked the Q turn to see the 9 drop on the river, where Allen fired out 4,000. Cheng needed just a split second to call.

Allen showed K6 for trip sixes, and Cheng mucked his cards.

Gerard Dooley and Mazalahedwa Bako got their chips into the middle and witnessed a rollercoaster runout.

Mazalahedwa Bako: KJ All in
Gerard Dooley: AK

Bako flopped a straight on the 10Q9 board and was a big favorite to double up. However, the KJ runout improved Dooley to Broadway on the river, which sent Bako to the rail as Level 4 comes to an end.

Mandara Shows a Set of Sailboats

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

With around 12,000 chips in the middle on a board of 9463, Brandon Harris checked it over to Ryan Mandara, who bet 7,000. Harris called.

They went to a J river where Harris checked again, and Mandara collected the majority of his stack and dumped 19,100 into the pot.

"You know it's a big hand when everybody goes quiet," said Harris. "I won't be long," he added.

Eventually, Harris elected to fold, and Mandara was kind enough to show he flopped a set with 44.

"A set of sailboats," added James Hartigan.
