Alexander Ellison
Alexander Ellison

With around 15,000 chips already in the pot on a board of K25J, Alexander Ellison fired out a bet of 5,500. Franco Menchella then ripped his stack of 15,400 into the middle, and Ellison made a quick call.

Franco Menchella: JJ All in
Alexander Ellison: AK

Ellison was drawing dead and was already asking the dealer for a count before she dealt the river. Menchella improved to quads when the J filled out the board, and his stack grew to almost 50,000.

With around 6,000 chips in the pot on a board of A2J8, Oliver Braddock and Gareth Devereux checked it over to Simon Higgins, who fired 5,500. Braddock called, and Devereux folded.

A K dropped on the river and after Braddock checked, Higgins bet 8,000. Braddock quickly folded.

Cullen Check-Shoves Turn

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Dominic Cullen made it 1,200 to go from under the gun and Kelvin Cheng three-bet from middle position to 3,500. When the action got back to Cullen, he called.

They went to a monotone flop of 7410 where Cullen check-called a bet of 2,500 from Cheng to the 8 turn. Again, Cullen tapped the table and Cheng put out a bet of 6,000. Cullen then shoved for around 18,000, and Cheng took a glance at his cards before sending them into the muck.

Wilson Rivers a Flush

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

With 9,000 chips in the middle and five players seeing the 1065 flop, the action checked around to Chase Wilson in the cutoff, who bet 3,500. Only Matthew Bonham called.

A 3 dropped on the turn where Bonham check-called a bet of 6,500 from Wilson to see the K fall on the river. Both players checked it down and Wilson showed a flush with J10, which was good for the pot as Bonham mucked.

Did Stearn Just Fold Top Set?

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Alan Stearn just claimed to have made quite the laydown.

On a flop of 10KJ, there were around 7,000 chips in the middle when Benjamin Preece checked from the big blind and Stearn fired 5,000 on the button. Preece then made a raise to 16,100, which sent Stearn deep into the tank.

After rechecking his cards countless times for around two minutes, Stearn was still unsure on how to proceed.

"They still haven't change," said Preece in reference to Stearn's cards.

"Only ace-queen beats me," replied Stearn.

"You've got pocket kings?" remarked Preece.

Another minute went by and Stearn finally decided to lay his hand down, and Preece was pushed the pot.
