Day 2 Started
After five starting flights in the UK and Ireland Poker Tour Nottingham Main Event, the final 193 players will merge today for the first time to make a run at the final table at Dusk Till Dawn.
A total of 1,282 entries were recorded, which sets the record for the largest field size seen in the Nottingham leg of the UKIPT. Leading the survivors is Ashraf Desai, who bagged up 632,000 from Day 1d yesterday.
Among the big stacks entering the day are last year's two finalists Vincent Meli and Patrice Brandt, who cut a deal before playing it out for the trophy. Meli won the heads-up battle, but it was Brandt who took home the largest slice of the pie as he had more chips when the deal was struck.

There were already around 70,000 chips in the pot on a board of K♣7♣5♦2♥ when Philip Joyce fired out 30,000 on the turn. Stephen Woodhead responded with a shove for around 100,000, and Joyce snap-called.
Stephen Woodhead: K♦Q♥
Philip Joyce: 2♠2♣
Woodhead was drawing dead as Joyce had turned a set of deuces. The meaningless 6♠ filled out the board, and Woodhead was sent on his way with a min-cash.

Marvis Cooper had opened from under the gun and both Waheed Ashraf & Arkadiusz Sieracki called from the blinds.
On a flop of 6♣9♦K♦, both blinds checked to Cooper, who fired out 10,000. Ashraf then shoved for around 90,000, and Sieracki committed his stack of around 100,000 behind. Cooper was in the tank for a while and after mulling it over, he decided to call.
Waheed Ashraf: K♠Q♦
Arkadiusz Sieracki: 6♠6♦
Marvis Cooper: K♣Q♣
Sieracki was in dreamland as his set was a gigantic favorite to take down the pot and triple up. Cooper and Ashraf's best shot were their backdoor flush draws, but the hand was all over when the 7♠ hit the turn. A meaningless 4♣ fell on the river, and Ashraf made his way to the exit while Sieracki added a chunk of chips to his stack.
