Hussain Out in 100th Place

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Mudasser Hussain shoved all in for 35,500 from the cutoff and Thomas McAlister looked him up from the big blind.

Hussain: {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
McAlister: {a-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

McAlister was ahead and strengthen his position when the {5-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{j-Spades} flop paired his ace, though it gave Hussain a Broadway draw to a ten. Fortunately for McAlister, neither the {8-Clubs} turn nor {K-Diamonds} river were it and he sent Hussain packing in 100th place.

Happy Mork

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Christopher Patrick Morkan let out a loud, "Yes!"

The reason being that he'd just survived with {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} on a {4-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{5-Clubs} board against Guilabert Bernabeu's {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}. Morkan moved up to 120,000 while Bernabeu dropped to 85,000.

Geraghty Gone

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Niall Geraghty is one of the first casualties of the money. He was all in with {A-Spades}{10-Clubs} against Daniel Wilson's {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} and attempted the 'put your coat on and prepare to leave' tactic in the hope that his cards would come. Sadly, the poker gods weren't listening and the board came {3-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{9-Spades}.

Newport Eliminated on the First Hand of the Bubble

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

That bubble didn't take long, just one hand in fact. On the first hand of hand-for-hand play, Nicholas Newport got his stack of 17,500 all in over at Table 8 and was up against Full Tilt Poker qualifier Barry Donovan.

Action was halted to allow the rest of the tables to complete their hands, a process that took about 90 seconds. During that time a large crowd gathered around the table and waited in anticipation for the two players to reveal their hands. When the time was right, the cards were turned up.

Donovan: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Newport: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

The rail let out a collective moan upon discovering the cooler. Newport was in bad shape, though the PokerNews Odds Calculator indicates that he had a 18.55% chance of coming from behind to win the hand.

That percentage dropped to 12.02% after the {9-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{9-Hearts} flop failed to help Newport, and the {3-Clubs} turn knocked it down even further to 4.55%. Newport needed a queen on the river to stay alive, but it was not meant to be as the {A-Clubs} peeled off. With that, the remaining 104 players are in the money!

On The Bubble

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Patrick Mccann started today with a big stack but it's all gone the way of Raul Paez on the feature table. The money was all in on the turn of a {5-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{9-Spades} board, Mccann held {K-Spades}{K-Clubs} but Paez had flopped a set with {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}. The {A-Spades} river couldn't get Mccann out of trouble and he has gone out just before the money.

Also eliminated is Philip Baker who lost a flip with jacks to Tomasz Raniszewski's ace-king.

There are now just 105 players left and we're going hand for hand.
