Jorstad Chipping Up

Level 5 : 300/600, 75 ante
Espen Jorstad
Espen Jorstad

Espen Jorstad is chipping up quite nicely since the start of the day. Jorstad just added some more to his stack after three-betting preflop.

Elhanan Togerman raised from the under the gun position to 1,600 and the player to his left, Adrian Barbu, called. When it folded around to Jorstad in the small blind he didn't grab calling chips. Instead, he three-bet to 7,000. Togerman was quick with the fold but Barbu couldn't let go of his hand as easily as Togerman did.

Barbu did end up folding his hand while shaking his head. Jorstad collected the pot and could start stacking again.

If It Ain't Broke Don't Fix It

Level 5 : 300/600, 75 ante

Thomas Svendgaard raised from the hijack to 1,500 and the big blind called. The flop came down {10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and Svendgaard took down the pot with a continuation bet of 2,000 after the player in the big blind had checked to him.

In the next hand, Svendgaard opened the action again with a raise to 1,500. The big blind called him again and the flop appeared {8-Clubs}{9-Spades}{7-Hearts}. It checked to the Danish player again and, just like the hand before, he continued with a bet of 2,000. The big blind folded again and Svendgaard took down two pots in a row with a continuation-bet of 2,000.

Unfortunate Runout for Kingma

Level 5 : 300/600, 75 ante

Remco Kingma just saw his dream flop appear as he headed 4-way to a flop holding {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. The flop came down {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and all four players checked.

The turn was the {J-Diamonds} and Kingma bet out 2,000. Yasir Karoo was the only player interested enough to call and they saw the {10-Hearts} complete the board with a straight out there.

Both players checked and Kingma was the victim of a bad runout as Karoo opened up {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}.

Molendijk Eliminated

Level 5 : 300/600, 75 ante
Thijs Molendijk
Thijs Molendijk

Hearthstone streamer Thijs Molendijk started the tournament off on the wrong foot by losing two pots and dropping to 22,000 and he busted out of the tournament just now.

Molendijk four-bet all-in preflop with a pair of kings in his hand. He had to hold against the ace-king of his opponent but unfortunately for Molendijk an ace hit the board and the Dutchman was sent to the rail.

Fellow Brit Jack Sinclair is also building steadily and has about 52,000 in front of him.

Unibet Ambassador David Lappin can't complain either, playing about 46,000.
