Level 7 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Ravi Sharda raised to 2,200 in the hijack and Julien Sitbon called on the button, while short stack Benjamin Voreland three-bet all in for 15,000 in the big blind. Sharda folded and Sitbon called.

Benjamin Voreland: {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}
Julien Sitbon: {K-Hearts}{J-Clubs}

McDonald Missing

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Karl Stark was down to a mere 5,000 after a few minutes and has since been very active at the tables. After the dinner break, the 2015 Unibet Open Cannes runner up sent George McDonald to the rail when the latter rivered the second nut flush with {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs} on a board of {J-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}. Stark had rivered the nut flush with {A-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and that was it for McDonald.

Solaas Doubles After Dinner

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Richard Ashby quickly chipped up after dinner while Catherine Ivgi reported that she had misread her cards and lost a big pot by mucking the winning hand against Erlend Abrahamse to drop down to half a starting stack prior to the dinner break.

Another player to make an impact after dinner was Espen Solaas, who just finished third in the 2018 Aussie Millions Main Event a few weeks ago. Solaas was all in with the {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} and his opponent had the dominating {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}. The board came {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and Solaas doubled with the flopped straight.

Cupcakes for Harkes; Chips for Rinkevicius

Level 6 : 400/800, 100 ante

Peter Harkes was just given cupcakes for his 30th birthday by Mateusz Moolhuizen with a "happy birthday song" right in front of the feature table and the Dutchman, a former Unibet Open champion, is off to a good start with two times the starting stack.

A few tables over, Julien Sitbon faced a raise to 1,800 and called on the button. [Removed:402] in the small blind three-bet to 7,300 and Sitbon was the only caller. On the {Q-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop, Rinkevicius continued for 8,200 and Sitbon called before the duo checked through the {A-Clubs} turn and {J-Spades} river. Rinkevicius showed {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} and that won the pot.

Sitbon more than made up for the loss soon after, though, and climbed back up to more than three times the starting stack while Tina Bandyle was eliminated.
