Small Bet Takes it Down for Reard

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

With about 6,500 in the middle and the board reading KQ4, Kamil Filali checked from the small blind, Alexandre Reard checked from the big blind and "Nuno" bet 3,400. Filali got out of the way while Reard made the call.

Both players checked the 10 turn leading to the 9 river. Reard placed a small bet of 2,000 which was enough to force a fold from his opponent.

El-Yousfi Takes an Aggressive Line

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Valentin Devooght opened to 2,500 from the cutoff and was called by Damien Luis on the button and Ferreol Motte in the small blind. Said El-Yousfi then raised to 12,500 from the big blind, folding out Devooght and Motte while Luis made the call.

The flop came 763 and El-Yousfi bet 12,000. Luis made the call.

El-Yousfi bet 12,000 again on the A turn, leaving only about 20,000 behind. Luis made the call.

Both players checked the Q river.

El-Yousfi tabled Q2 for a pure bluff that turned into a pair of queens on the river. Luis' hand hit the muck and El-Yousfi collected a sizable pot.

Reard Gets Some Back

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Mostafa Essanhaji opened to 2,500 from the hijack and "Johan" three-bet to 7,500 from the button. Alexandre Reard, who had lost a bit more than half his stack over the last two levels, called from the small blind and Essanhaji also called.

Action checked around to "Johan" who bet 10,500 on the 496 flop. Reard put in a check-raise to 25,000 which was enough to force a fold from both remaining opponents and take down a nice pot uncontested.

Meanwhile, Ugo Palmero and Rachid Boughrara have both recently been eliminated from the tournament.
