Both players checked the 3♦ river. Hamdi tabled J♠9♠ for second pair which was good enough to take the pot.

Taurines Soars with Broadway

With the board reading J♦Q♠Q♣10♥8♦ and a sizable pot already in the middle, Alejandro "Tanketa" Gavinet checked from the big blind, Ugo Taurines bet 21,500 from under the gun and Gavinet moved all in, putting Taurines deep into the tank.

After roughly four minutes the clock was called. Not long afterwards, Taurines called off with his tournament life at risk and a pot worth well over 150 big blinds on the line.

Gavinet tabled K♦Q♦ for trips while Gavinet revealed A♣K♠ for a broadway straight to take down a colossal pot.

Meanwhile at another table, Audrey Verlomme was recently eliminated.

Jeremie Canetti opened to 5,000 from under the gun and received calls from Arthur Brilliet in the cutoff, David Schable in the small blind and "Prz" in the big blind.

All four players checked the Q♥4♣7♠ flop leading to the 2♦ on the turn. Schable checked, "Prz" bet 7,500, Canetti folded, Brilliet made the call and Schable made the call.

The river was the 6♦. Action checked around to Brilliet who bet 13,000. "Prz" called while Schable got out of the way.

Brilliet tabled 2♣2♠ for a turned set to take down a nice pot.

Not long after this hand, Schable would be eliminated. Salah-Eddine Elghazi was also recently eliminated at a nearby table.
