While the UDSO Marrakech Main Event has just gotten underway, plenty of eyes will also be on the 15,000 MAD (€1,412) High Roller, which resumes today at 3:30 p.m. local time. The final table will be livestreamed across Casino de Marrakech’s official channels, with nine players left in the hunt for one of the festival’s biggest prizes.

The High Roller drew 193 entries, generating a prize pool of 2,475,200 MAD (approx. €232,700). Leading the way is Isabel Baltazar, who bagged 6,625,000 after a smooth Day 2 highlighted by two well-timed sets. Hot on her heels are Gregory Dupuy (6,255,000) and Portugal’s Rui Soares (6,050,000).

EPT Barcelona standout Yohan Rascar (5,825,000), Romain Morin (4,920,000), and local favorite Mounir Khoddar (4,675,000) make up the middle of the pack, while Idir Haiche (1,775,000), Nikolay Ponomarev (1,590,000), and short stack Benjamin Hammann (870,000) will look to spin it up.

The Bubble Bursts

Kamal Jbirane

Day 2 saw several names bow out before the money, including Jean Montury (38th), Parham Ahoor (36th), Mohamed Mehalleg (34th), David Lichentin (32nd), and Mehdi Hsissen (31st).

The unfortunate bubble boy was Kamal Jbirane, who shoved king-six into Baltazar’s ten-six and watched her make a full house to eliminate him in 28th place. From that moment, every remaining player was guaranteed a share of the prize pool.
