Blondel Sent into the Tank

Level 4 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

Hugo Blondel opened to 1,200 from under the gun and was called by Bernard Guigon from the next seat over. "Bradley92" three-bet to 3,700 from middle position, which was called by Guillaume Bailet-Goiran from the button. Blondel responded with a four-bet to 13,200. Guigon got out of the way but the two other players called.

Blondel continued for 12,000 on the Q93 flop. Bradley92 then moved all-in for 59,000, forcing out Bailet-Goiran. Blondel then went deep into the tank for several minutes, prompting the clock to be called. As his countdown hit zero, he let go of his hand.

Bradley92 flashed the Q for top pair before going on break.

Spencer Gets Paid

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

"Mehdi" limped in from middle position before Tony Prenveille made it 2,200 from the cutoff. Ricardo Spencer and Theo Baldanza called from the blinds, ahead of Mehdi getting out of the way.

The 975 flop checked through to the 2 turn. Spencer checked, prompting Baldanza to bet 3,000. Prenveille quickly folded before Spencer raised to 8,000. Baldanza called.

The 3 completed the board, and Spencer fired out another 10,000. Baldanza tanked for several minutes before making a crying call.

Spencer had the goods, showing 22 for a set of deuces.

Big Stacks Clash in Three-Bet Pot

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Edgar Aguiar opened to 2,000 from early position. Guillaume Bailet-Goiran, "RSM" and Imad Derwiche all called before "Brelanciaga" three-bet to 16,000 from the big blind. Aguiar was the only caller.

Aguiar called a bet of 20,000 on the 875 flop before the Q turn checked through to the J river.

Brelanciaga sized down to 8,000 and was met with a snap-raise to 35,000. Brelanciaga tanked for several minutes, with the clock eventually being called. They called during the countdown, and Aguiar flipped over JJ for a set of jacks, which was good for the pot.

Notable Stacks Emerging

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Big stack Ghali Hsissen opened to 1,600 from the hijack and picked up a call from Bernard Guigon in the cutoff. Norbert Levigne, also sitting above the average stack, three-bet to 7,500 on the button. Neither opponent continued, and Levigne dragged the pot without contest.

Over on Table #1, more big stacks were clashing. Three players saw a KQ72 flop, and after Djamal Boutaleb checked from the small blind, Fausto Munz fired 10,000 into the 16,700 pot. "Hisoka" quickly released from the button, and Boutaleb followed suit.

Munz, who works in poker media, gave the table a peek at the A before raking in the pot.
