2025 Unibet DeepStack Open Marrakech
Mehdi Hsissen opened to 40,000 from the hijack and called when Patrick Rudau made it 100,000 from the button.
Hsissen check-called bets of 85,000 and 125,000 for the final board to read Q♥4♣Q♣10♠6♥.
Hsissen checked and Rudau put in his last 175,000. After some time in the tank, he called.
Rudau tabled 10♥10♠ for tens full of queens. Hsissen had decided to be a hero and call with 5♥4♥ and was reduced to a short stack.
He was all-in and at risk the following hand, flipping with Ax8x against Quentin Laugt's 7x7x.
Hsissen failed to connect and he bowed out.
David Marie jammed for 175,000 from early position and was called by Tristan Forge from the small blind.
David Marie: A♥Q♥
Tristan Forge: K♣Q♦
Niether player connected on the 10♦9♣7♥8♦2♣ runout, so Marie's ace-high was good for the double up.
Roger Tondeur raised to 40,000 out of his short stack and Mounir Khoddar called from two seats over. Manuel Lopez squeezed to 110,000 and only Khoddar called.
The latter check-folded to a bet of 60,000 on the 9♠7♠7♦ flop.
Chip leader Samir Sebii is at the same table, and has more than 2,300,000.
