Guan Pushes Katz Off on the River

Level 5 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

The board showed {6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{q-Diamonds} and the pot had around 8,000. Ricky Guan bet 4,000, Cary Katz raised to 14,000 and Guan called. The dealer flipped over the {k-Hearts} on the river and Guan checked.

Katz threw in a bet of 10,000, Guan quickly check-raised to 45,000 and Katz smiled as he folded his hand, sending the pot to Guan.

Yoon Busts and Weinand Pulls Further Ahead

Level 5 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

There was a raise to 4,500 before Brian Yoon moved all in for 26,000 total. Mark Dietz called as did Daniel Weinand and the player who opened as well giving Yoon a chance to quadruple up.

The flop was {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and action checked to the {9-Clubs} on the turn. There, action checked to Weinand who made it 65,000. The opening raiser folded as did Dietz so it was on to a showdown.

Daniel Weinand: {9-Spades}{8-Spades}
Brian Yoon: {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

Weinand was far ahead with his two pair but Yoon picked up outs with an open-ended straight draw. The river was the {2-Spades} though and that would be the end of Yoon who hit the rail. Weinand meanwhile, cemented his lead chipping up to nearly 400,000 chips.

Bonomo Fires on All Cylinders

Level 5 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Justin Bonomo opened to 4,500, Rainer Kempe defended his big blind and the dealer fanned out {3-Hearts}{k-Spades}{6-Spades} on the flop. Action checked to Bonomo, he bet 4,000 and Kempe called.

A {k-Hearts} landed on the turn, Kempe check-called a bet of 10,000 from Bonomo and the dealer turned over a {7-Clubs} on the river. Kempe checked to Bonomo who bet 20,000 and Kempe folded, sending the pot to Bonomo.

Kornuth Pulls in a Pot

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

The turned board read {8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{j-Hearts}, a player in the small blind led for 9,000 into a pot around 15,500. Chance Kornuth used most of his shot clock, before he moved all in for around 45,000.

Kornuth's opponent took their time, but in the end made the fold and Kornuth pulled in a much needed pot shortly after the first break of the day.

Kempe Doubles through Yu

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

There was nearly 30,000 already in the pot on a flop of {10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and Rainer Kempe checked over to Chuan Yu who was on the button. Yu put out a bet of 20,000. Kempe thought it over for a bit, then moved all in for 62,500. Yu paused for a moment, then called it off, putting Kempe at risk as he had the bigger stack.

Chuan Yu: {Q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Rainer Kempe: {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}

The {J-Spades} on the turn was safe for Yu, but the {Q-Diamonds} came on the river. It gave Yu two pair, but Kempe made the winning flush allowing him to double back over the starting stack mark.

Winter Sits Down, Sends Roberts Out

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Sean Winter sat down, spinning up a stack within just a few hands. The latest hand had the turned board showing {5-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{3-Spades}, when Lauren Roberts moved all of her remaining 115,000 stack into the middle.

Winter called and the two turned over their hands. Roberts tabled {j-Spades}{j-Clubs} for a pair of jacks, but was in rough shape after Winter turned over {5-Spades}{5-Hearts} for a set.

Roberts said "I knew you had a set!", as the dealer turned over the {q-Clubs} on river, changing nothing as Winter took down the pot with his set of nickels and eliminated Roberts.

Fox Almost Shoves

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Elio Fox opened with a raise to 4,000 from the cutoff and Daniel Weinand called in the big blind.

The flop was {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and Weinand checked. Fox put out a bet of 3,000 and Weinand called.

On the {2-Clubs} turn, Weinand checked for a second time. Fox made it 11,000 this time and Weinand called once more.

The river was the {10-Hearts} and Weinand checked for a third time. Fox put out a bet, making it 24,000 with only 25,000 total, leaving himself 1,000 behind. Weinand tanked for a while, then eventually folded, so Fox was awarded the pot.
