Michael Tomeny
Michael Tomeny

In a single-raised pot to the J♥10♣4♥ flop, Yixian Wang checked and then faced a bet of 250,000 by Michael Tomeny. Wang used a time bank to check-raise all-in and Tomeny snap-called.

Michael Tomeny: K♠K♦ All in
Yixian Wang: Q♥9♣

The open-ended straight draw of Wang had six outs but two of them vanished when the 4♦ turn paired the board. No surprise came on the 6♥ river and Tomeny doubled for 1,270,000.

Big Slick for Richardson

Level 25 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Michael Tomeny opened to 125,000 in the cutoff, and Shijia Zhai called on the button. Ben Richardson then moved all in from the big blind for 1,030,000, and Tomeny made the call. Zhai took some time before letting his hand go, and the cards were turned up.

Michael Tomeny: A♠J♠

Richardson was well ahead, and Zhai indicated to the table that he folded ace-queen. The 6♥6♣9♥K♠J♥ runout saw Richardson improve to two pair, earning more than a double while taking a big portion of Tomeny's stack.

Hun Wei Lee raised to 130,000 and then called a three-bet by Michael Tomeny to 350,000, which led them to the K♦9♠3♣ flop. Lee checked, Tomeny pushed all-in and Lee instantly folded to flash the A♠J♠, Tomeny showed him the A♥K♥.

One hand later, Kwang Nguyen jammed for 550,000 and Jim Giannoukos moved all-in behind for 670,000. Lee in the cutoff asked for both counts and flat-called, everyone else folded.

Kwang Nguyen: 8♠8♦ All in

Sibaei Cracks Aces to Survive

Level 25 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Jyrki Hilakari moved all in on the button, and Naz Sibaei called off his final 565,000 in the small blind.

Naz Sibaei: A♥9♣ All in
Jyrki Hilakari: A♠A♣

Sibaei saw the bad news as the cards were turned up, and the 8♣K♥7♥ flop did little to improve his chances. The 5♥ turn brought a straight draw, which was completed on the 6♦ river for the unlikely double-up.

Level 25 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Dylan Foster checked the Q♠6♣5♥ flop from the big blind, and Shijia Zhai bet 90,000 from the hijack. Foster check-raised to 285,000, and Zhai announced a call as his clock ran down.

Foster led out for 400,000 on the K♥ turn, and Zhai used most of his clock again before announcing all in. That produced a quick fold from Foster, and Zhai collected the pot.

Jim Giannoukos

Higor Seibel raised to 125,000 and table short stack Jim Giannoukos then pushed all-in. It folded back to Seibel and he asked for a count, then called when it was deemed to be for only 335,000.

Jim Giannoukos: A♠9♠ All in
Higor Seibel: K♦3♣

Seibel took the lead with the K♥J♥6♦ flop, but the 9♥ turn and A♦ river kept Giannoukos around on the bubble for the last two tables.
