Pirault Adds to His Pyramid

Level 19 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Francois Pirault might not have the biggest stack in the room, but he does have the most impressive. He has built quite the pyramid already, and after shoving and getting a fold from Franck Lelong on a {4-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{2-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{5-Clubs} board, he was able to add another layer worth 150,000 chips to the structure.

In other news, Kevin Droz has amassed a massive stack on his table, and are right now gunning for chip leader Romain Meyer.

Neither Kitai Nor Ndongue Will Lift the Trophy

Level 19 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Emmeline Ndongue
Emmeline Ndongue

Players are still busting out rapidly, and among the latest casualties are Winamax Pro Davidi Kitai and former professional basketball player and Winamax VIP Emmeline Ndongue.

Kitai ran pocket fours into Paul Guichard's pocket nines and didn't get there, while Ndongue allegedly was eliminated holding {9-}{10-} against the top pair of an opponent. None the less it has been an impressive series for the Winamax VIP, who even had to use a cheat sheet of the different hand strengths on Day 1c.

Both Kitai and Ndongue will take home 12,000 MAD (€1,100).

Two in a Row For Taghzouit

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

The action folded around to Sliman Taghzouit in the small blind, and he completed the big blind of 20,000. Alexandre Luneau in the big blind checked his option, and the two of them saw a {3-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop. Both checked.

The {9-Spades} prompted a bet of 22,000 from Taghzouit, and Luneau quickly called, before Taghzouit fired another bullet of 77,000 on the {Q-Clubs} river. Luneau contemplated for a minute or more before making the call, but he couldn't beat the {Q-Spades}{5-Spades} of his opponent and quietly mucked his hand.

The very next hand Taghzouit got another one through, as he made it 50,000 to go from the button, Both blinds folded and the Frenchman flashed the {A-Diamonds} before raking in the pot.

Cano Flops the Flush to Crack Guichard's Queens

Level 20 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Former EPT Deauville runner-up Paul Guichard is still in the mix with 59 left at the SISMIX Main Event
Former EPT Deauville runner-up Paul Guichard is still in the mix with 59 left at the SISMIX Main Event

With more than 500,000 already in the pot after the flop {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts}, it seemed obvious for both Spanish player Cano to get his last 281,000 in on the {6-Spades} turn and for former EPT runner-up, Paul Guichard, to make the call. Cano had flopped the flush with {7-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, but Guichard with {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} could still better his opponent by making a full house or the higher flush.

The river {3-Clubs} changed nothing, though, and the pot went to Cano.

Hugo Larachiche Scores Double Knockout

Level 21 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Salim Lehoussine moved all-in from first position for 150,000 and Luc Machecourt on the button made the call leaving 130,000 behind. Hugo Larachiche in the small blind moved all-in, and Machecourt reluctantly committed his remaining chips.

Lehoussine: {K-Clubs}{2-Spades}
Luc Machecourt: {10-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}
Hugo Larachiche: {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}

The nines held up for Larachiche, who scored the double knockout and surged to 1,6 million chips.

Gaelle Baumann Exits After Brutal River King

Level 21 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Gaelle Baumann is out of this year's Winamax SISMIX Main Event.
Gaelle Baumann is out of this year's Winamax SISMIX Main Event.

Gaelle Baumann is one of the most recent casualties at this 2017 Winamax SISMIX Main Event. Baumann was down to her last 16 big blinds and moved all-in from the small blind, only to find Jerome Barre in the big blind having picked up {A-}{K-}.

The Ace-King of Barre stayed ahead after a flop of three blanks, but an {8-} on the turn made Baumann a hefty favorite to score the double. It was not to be, however, as a {K-} hit the river, sending Baumann to the rail in 58th place.

Also free to enjoy the Moroccan sun is a former champion of this event, Jerome Sgorrano. He did manage to outlast both 2014 SISMIX-winner Davidi Kitai (76th place) and last year's champion Bruno Lopes (63rd place), but that is probably not much of a comfort for Sgorrano, who will have to be content with 53rd place and 15,500 MAD.
